Bro ... I would suggest you to lower your standards to just the regular cards since your income are not really there and you are a 1st timer applicant.
All the banks for the cards you are applying will block your application for a few months should you fail. And these failures will show in your financial history.

There's no shame in getting regular cards for starters. All of us started that way.

Normally bank will try to tighten for 1st applicant.

I agree with you.
I am not a big spender and hence CL does not matter to me. I just wonder why OCBC treat me so good tongue.gif
*
However, it's good if suddenly u need a lot of money.

The 8% rebate for online bill payment is consist of OCBC Titanium credit card 5% rebate + 3% rebate for online bill payment promotion.
5% rebate max limit - RM100 per month until year end
3% rebate max limit - RM200 for whole campaign

So you need RM2000 bill payment to max out 5% limit.
FYI, online bill payment using saving/current account gets only 3% rebate (not 8% rebate).
*
Auto-billing by OCBC titanium won't get 3% cash back???
I just registered for OCBC paymaster

Is your bill consumption very high? It is really depends on your usage either to go for auto-billing or online payment.
But for TNB, water(although hardly got any difference) and assessment/quit rent is very good rebate for online payment.

But I'm wondering if you have auto-pay for TM, and you pay one day advance before the bill charge (rough estimation, maybe left a couple of ringgit) whether you will still entitled for autobilling discount or not. You get double rebate, ha! But I doubt it will work.
*
Quite hard to understand....
I registered for payMaster OCBC for 2 TM account, how do i trace back is it i registered with the correct account???

If you already subscribe for TM auto billing, you need to make sure whether you are entitled for RM2 or RM4 rebate (maybe got different tier). If each of your TM bill exceeds RM67 (for TM RM2 rebate) or RM133 (for TM RM4 rebate), pay through OCBC internet banking is better.

In my case, auto billing gimme more.

For paymaster, maybe you can check with CS?
*
For the Paymaster, is it eligible to get the TM RM2 rebate?
Or need to register with TM?

I cannot guarantee but from my previous experience, I use AMEX auto debit service.
TM rebates RM4 for me every month. I'm not sure why now it is RM2 as advertised, maybe got different package or tier.
Theoretically, you can get the rebate as long as it is auto debit.

U registered via tm or amex???

What i worry is any mistake with the account no.
Since the OCBC paymaster just need account no. only without any other reference to verify.

I'm just wondering if I signup for Auto-debit (TNB) in this case, I pay using OCBC internet banking 1~2 days before the statement date, probably I can still get the 3% rebate :-)
Just that I'm afraid the TM one might void the auto billing discount if you do so.
I don't think you need to worry, just call CS to double confirm it. Since you have 2 TM bills, if the 3% of amount for each bill doesn't exceed the rebate for auto-billing, auto billing still gives you more. Otherwise, I'm not sure whether the above method will work or not.
*
Quite a good idea, pay b4 autopay, but OCBC need 5 working days for online payment, probably u will be lated for it.
Just called CS, the CS for cc only till 10pm, need to call 2moro.

Does anybody know if the OCBC Titanium card is a permanent card or a limited edition card? I plan to wait until Budget 2011 announcement, see if the service tax will be waived. I'll only be free to apply probably around end of November.
*
If government announce that cancel the GST, probably it will effectively next year.
If u may spend RM1000 with 5% cash back in this 2-3 months, u already can get back RM50.

There's proposal to do so and replace it with a limited number of CC per person; most likely 2 CC.
*
I think the GST will not cancel, since it is 1 of the government income.
Mayb government should consider to apply or increase the GST for the cc holder which more than certain amount.
But the problem is how to do it.

Then it will based on the round figure, not consider the cent..
