can ensure that existing customers before the upgrade is 5GB limit...coz my fren newly registered list 3GB limit on their FUP list...

and so much for double standard, and some people kinda ranted on these issues

so expensive bandwidth charges, if need increment...

thats what i'm enjoying right now. i have few SIM cards registered to both 68 & 98 plans. i did confirmed with Celcom that my current 68 plan is with 5GB FUP and increased speed. but bear in mind the speed is on best effort basis.

as your friend, he/she might registered after the new service being implemented. i believed the changes were made some July / August. call and ask the customer service and they will clarify further

correct me if i'm wrong, other operators giving 3GB FUP form day 1 unlike Celcom. i even asked them why they decrease the FUP but they replied that they are following other operators as standard benchmark.

Damn! Celcom should hire me nod.gif

concurred that as i'm also experiencing slow & intermittent connections past few days.
may i give you some tips, even though this is quite hassle, you may, at your convenience, to consistanly call customer service and complaint whenever your broadband speed is not up to expectations consistantly. as for my case, whenever i can't get connected for such a long time of period, i'll call them and make the reports. give your full details such as your location & time of service 'downtime' accurately so that they can do some investigations. remember to ask for report complaint number before your call ended and take it down. they will forward it to their technical team to investigate (of course, there will be some investigation time incurred and dont expect them to resolve immediately wink.gif )

i did some complaints (even until today) and to my surpise, their technician team visited my location with their own devices to check the signal strength, data transmission, etcs. most of cases resolved within 2 working days. (take note that this is my experience, not as their standard procedure)

can i use all my replies to be included in my resume to Celcom, just in case they want to hire Customer Service personnel? tongue.gif tongue.gif brows.gif wink.gif

please check with customer service, usually the registration fees will be credited to your account. again, please check and confim.

same goes to the returning of modem. basically for free modems giveaway, it will be subject to a minimal contract as they want to 'secure' you for a certain time of period. with that, they can cover the cost of free modem. standard practise among other telcos too.

about the RM20 unlock service, that is between you & the dealer. bear in mind if the modem faulty within warranty period, some manufactures (Huawei, ZTE, etcs) will not cover for that. they have some kind of tools that will enable them to tell either the modem have been altered or not. its your choice and again its got nothing got to do with Celcom, unless if advised by them (dealer or Celcom) otherwise.

Guys, I want to cancel the hardcopy printout bill and go for e-biling. Since Celcom center is far far away from my place to fill the form or what so ever, can I just call or email them to request such service?

it's better for you to call customer service first. if they can settle there and then, it will a bonus to you.

more or less yes. biasalah, thats what we call business, to gain profit as much as they can.
you see, take some real cases as point for us to share, sometimes the extra services they offered are not related to celcom offerings. when the customer starts to have problems with their devices, then Celcom is to be blamed. and we will see all the bashing starts here and there. i'm not 'covering-up' Celcom entirely, but when i browsed the Celcom Broadband thread, i can see some of the problems are not Celcom related, except for the network & coverage issues, for instances, the extra RM20

take example on agents that says "Free Sim Card Bang! Free Register Bang!" kind of offerings we may see in major shopping centres (not limited to Celcom only). yes, the SIM card, the registration fee or even the modem are free, but only upon you sign-up on that particular day. there's nothing in this world is totally free. simple rule of thumb, if you want to register, bear in mind that will be some minimal commitment fee you need to pay, especially in your first bill. again my advice, if you want to accept this offer, ask them thoroughly what kind of offerings are they. what are the fees that we need to pay. if there's any doubt, call customer service or best even, walk-in to any of their branches and ask in details.

i'm taking the 'extra' kind of service issue that doesn't relates to Celcom directly.

nevertheless, my broadband basic D68 speeds today (speeds up to 512kbps, on best effort basis and 3GB FUP)

Hmmmmm, I just noticed something on my broadband and came into thought about it.

I was thinking if the sim number that I bought is granted limited access to certain sites or the data for it to receive would be limited. That's what I thought. Because I used Wifi from a learning centre and I can open the site I have been wanted to go.

Can anyone like clarify this or correct my statement on this?

you can forget about playing PS3 games with celcom bb ...... and even other wireless bb for that matter.

The PING is way too high....and when u play MW2, you'll get killed first before u even know it. When you watch the killcam, only then will you realise that there was actually another player infront of you.

For surfing, you can still rely on wireless BB....for games, fixed line is the best.

I know, cos I've tried P1, Maxis and Celcom.....currently with streamyx.
