No visa is required for U.S.A. citizens visiting Malaysia for social, business or academic purposes (except for employment).

No visa is required for a stay of less than one month for nationals of all ASEAN countries except Myanmar. For a stay exceeding one month a visa will be required, except for nationals Brunei and Singapore.

For national of Israel, visas are required and permission must be granted from Ministry Of Home Affairs.

For national of Republic of Serbia and Republic of Montenegro, visas are required without permission granted from Ministry Of Home Affairs.

Nationals of countries other than those stated above (with the exception of Israel) are allowed to enter Malaysia without a visa for a visit not exceeding one month.

Do Malaysian need to apply Visa to visit Vietnam, as for travel purpose? I'm kinda confuse now.
As I did some research earlier, all stated that Malaysia citizens do not need a Vietnam visa if they are visiting the country within 30 days.
However, when I check from this site (http://www.vietnamvisa.com/visa-requirement.html), they stated that Malaysia Citizens living in Malaysia are required to apply for a valid visa to enter Vietnam for Vacation purposes. blink.gif
So do we need visa or not? icon_question.gif

You don't need one for Cyprus either. Malaysians generally don't need a visa for an EU country as we have signed the Schenegen treaty with them... well, as long as you don't exceed your stay of course!

uhm.. what is the difference between a visa and a passport? i've visited the listed places before but everything my parents settle one.. so just wondering, does that mean we can visit and stay in the countries with no visa required (and time limit) as long as we wanted to? ><

Visa is a permit that entitles you to stay legally in a foreign country at a certain period of time. Passport is like international "IC" which enable you to go other countries. If its a visa free countries, then you can stay there and leave the country when the time is up. Only those holding residency permit can stay as long as they want
