I bought the PS3 because im interested with the free online gaming service, and im planning to buy a lot of Blu-Ray movies and PS3 was one of the cheapest Blu-Ray player at that time. I'm also one of Playstation loyal fans.

I didn't buy the Xbox360 because im scared of the Red Rings of Death, im only a student, soo it be kinda hard for me to buy another Xbox 360. The other main reason i didnt buy a Xbox360 is that i have to pay to play online. Seeing how i really want to play online badly, the fact that i have to pay to play online puts me off.

I didn't buy the wii because i didn't like the gaming line up and i don't really like the controls of the game, im more of a classic gamer .

Once again, i appreciate all your answers,stories, help.

Ps3 because at that time waiting for ffxiii and no it was not multiplat when times were simpler.

Didnt buy other console because i dont think i need more then 1 to be hook up to my tv. Even with just ps3, my backlog is huge...

I bought xbox360 because of Gears of War , PS3 for Heavy Rain
I love both of them

ps3 for mgs and gt5

Bought these 30 something consoles/handhelds and accessories






Because of these 800 or so games (and counting)

Bought a XBOX360 first because i wanted HD gaming and because XBOX360 can play ahem ahem. (I don't do ahem anymore nowadays)
Then i got the PS3 because the 360 kena 3ROD.
Then my PS3 kena lens rosak.
Then i got the Wii because Capcom releases Resident Evil games on it (although not the mainstream series).
So far am happy with all 3. Although all 3 are kept in cabinet now. Am playing PS1.

Waiting for Wii/PS3/360 become retro only then start playing?

3rd gen meaning 8 bit era? Only have Famicom, but that's also without box

Wii – because of rich content, and hot titles like Mario/Zelda/Metroid series, to me, next gen isn't about who has better power graphic processor, but a new+different gaming experience.

Why didn't you buy the other console?
XBOX360 - 3ROD, game titles not appealing to me, gaming experience is XBOX with better graphics & online experience.

PS3 – game titles not appealing to me, gaming experience is PS2 with better graphics.

7th generation, perhaps?

Wii for its intuitive and innovative play style.

PS3 because I wanted a HD console and settled with something that had Malaysian warranty to it.

ps3 - nice games, some of them exclusives
wii - nice games, some of them exclusives
xbox360 - nice games, some of them exclusives. but no money yet to buy. maybe later bundled with kinect.

360 only. already enough to occupy me with whatever time i have left.
but GT5 does look really tempting..
