Haven't discuss with sponsor about tournament structure yet. We have to see how many teams we get first. After that, we will have a meeting with SMM people so they can help us with brackets and single elim/double elim/group stage. Will announce ASAP ^^

Thing is, with that prizes up for grab ... even if you ban top teams which you should depending on your reason of making this event, will still attract a whole bunch of randomites to join your competition.

I agree with you. It really depends on what vision the CC boss + sponsor have. They plan on making this a top-class event with a whole lot of professionalism and high-level game play.. but we might have a lack of participation from the junior teams. If we choose to ban the top teams, we might get an increase in participation but the tournament level may remain amateurish but fun nonetheless.

btw look at that Gigabite tournament, posted few weeks, banning top teams, only got 16 teams. I think it doesn't matter of ban or not too ban, it just just dota less player playing now

If that is true, this is sad period for the local DotA scene.

if possible not only dota..some other games like FPS(cs,sa) someday?...lol...i m sure there are more ppl join...i do go there for gaming most of the time
