i heard this from a friend working at maxis. not sure if it is true. apparently, when iphone 4 is launched here, ipad will be released also.

i also heard it from a friend who is working at maxis. i think malaysia is seeing an official iphone 4 release soon, so why dont u just wait until then bcos my friend said ipad and its respective plan wil be released alongside wif iphone 4.

if still no news of ipad when iphone 4 is officially available here, u might consider getting it from singapore.

that is 32g. 16g is only 728sgd.

yeah, u can use it wif sim card here. singapore ipad is unlocked version. u dont have to jailbreak it in order to use micro sim to online.

i think u can get it from apple reseller in singapore, epic center or other resellers depending on its availability of course

u mean the video that u stream will be lagged? I think that has something to do with your internet connection speed right?

Some of u mention that utube vids are unable to play at flipboard but so far i dun encounter such prob yet.

Oh really? Kinda disappointed to hear this. Hmm, so how are we gonna know if the video is html5 or flash encoded if i plan to look for some vids at youtube website directly?

Weird, i can view video A at flipboard but i cant view the same video at facebook website.

after having the ipad for some time, i must say there are some flaws that i hope apple can manage to overcome with the next revision.

1. ipad kinda takes some tolls at my hands after holding it for an extended period. keep the size, but not the weight apple, make it lighter!

2. copy and paste is so hard and practically useless in the current os. hopefully next time we can copy and paste like we are used to when using window.

but i need to applaud apple for some great features that ipad has.

1. impressive battery life...for now. Not sure if it can hold up that much once multitasking is available, but the battery life so far is just marvelous and nothing to complain. charging time is very fast also, kudos to apple.

2. abundant apps at disposal. practically you can find everything you want i think. hmm, are we gonna see microsoft office at app store soon? if that materializes, im sure people will be ditching apple iwork for it.

Another problem i encountered when using either safari or atomic web browser to enter lowyat forum is when i see some quoted message like the one agito quoted mine, i realize that i cant enlarge the message by clicking on thr arrow sign. Does this happen to anyone of u?

Err, that isnt the meaning im trying to convey. When u quoted my message to reply me, my message was too long so the quote bubble will only show fraction of the messsage. On pc, when we see the quote bubble, we can click on an arrow sign in the quote bubble to reveal the rest of the message while i dont think it is possible to do this when using ipad.

I used safari n atomic full version to view this n i still cant manage to see the rest of the message. Worse, this kinda hampers the experience when i search for a certain forumer message and i ended up with fragment kf messages without the ability to view the whole message.

U wil get kt when u try to use ur ipad and login to any thread and use the search button. Often the results u wil be get is those fragmented messages and u wont be able to view full messages.

Another problem i notice is regarding im app. Im using im plus and to my dismay one of the important im program fuction is to pop out a bubble telling someone has just online. This doesnt happen and it is kinda hard to see whoever online later when i use other appw. Hopefully This will be addressed once ios 4 is available.

Anyway, for the first reply, i think it does not help for me. You were guiding me to copy and paste right? The answer im looking for is to view complete quoted message in the reply. Still looking how to do it or else search function is no longer useful when using ipad.

I dont think there is any laptop in the market currently that can rival the battery life of ipad.

converting is so time consuming. i hope vlc player can get better in the future, i dont wanna go through any unnecessary video conversion anymore.

Not really useful atm bcos it cant play my rmvb files while there isnt audio for divx files.

I wud recommend zumocast ae it is free.

downloading movie from ur pc is very time consuming, and the worst thing is the download wont run when we are streaming movies from our pc or we close the app.

however based on the current conversion, if you can manage to get hold of one unit in usa or hk, the price shud be cheaper than singapore unit.

1) not sure bcos i nvr store pictures in ipad nor having a mac.

2) some said beejive while the rest are gravitating towards im+. Im using im+ lite(free version) and I will receive push notification for any messages i receive when i close the app. However, do note that for lite version the active time is only 2 hours and it also doesnt support skype. Also push notification of someone appearing online is possible as well on the im+ lite but you need to set it manually for every contact if you wish to see push notification for every contact. Not sure if the purchased version or beejive have similar problem. for me it is quite troublesome but you can access to internet while using im+ bcos there is a browser with im+ if you wish to see whoever online without closing the app.

3. I checked the setting, maximum is 200 emails only.

For me that is time consuming bcos it is much faster when i use usb cable to teansfer a file that big. Plus online streaming is kinda useless also. At first i tot i can stream the video even if my lappy is off. But when i figure out e pc must be on when i wanna stream online that seems a lil pointless bcos if the lappy is on i might as well watch it on my laptop.
