No. These few days his mood still sux, not a good time. He was-- unhappy when I "suggested" his erhu was overpriced and he got conned (which I think he did le, my guitar teacher said if want to buy erhu he also know how to get from China directly at cheaper price, LOL)

Wouldn't the philkoss mod make the sound kinda weird? After all the Koss drivers were meant to sound their best in an open back shell, not closed. Tuning for good sound would probably make this one a PITA to do.

Blimey. DOES look like it rather. >.< Other than the pair I just bought, I think I have a pair myself-- from about oh, 20-30 years ago. Should've saved my money dammit. Then again-- it looks a bit different on the area where it attaches to the headphone cups, so maybe not. Why not try though?

Mm. What's next? My HD650 is used-- and I'm not going to get it back to M'sia until June 2012. So-- top of the list is getting a NEW one! With Symphonica cable of course. Still funding for that. When the old pair gets back, it'll be well used, and then maybe can sell or hang on for spare parts... Then a Hippo amp-- or heck, since saving like nuts already might as well head to PPK while I'm at it. Modded Lavry wait a few more years, I think.

Aiming that way anyway-- because there were rumblings amounting to the HD650 is about to be discontinued (actually I heard that it IS discontinued). So I'm hedging my bets: Get a used one now in good condition (bought in US for ~half the US price), and if I can't get a new one, at least I'm not going to be left out in the cold without one. And then meanwhile save for a new one, and see if I get lucky enough to be able to get a new one here. Haih. Why the heck is US price like RM800 cheaper after conversion?! Danged irritating.
