That's easy. U try to swap between left and right earphones and see if the earphone is defect. Sometimes it is ur ears playing tricks. If the phone is defect u r still covered.

Yes, the T400 will fit. It is because u generate a lot of earwax... There is one model with earwax filter call Tx400. It will prevent your earwax going in.
