In v2, I wrote a workaround. If 64 bit drivers not working for you. Use the method I posted there.

Yeah, Larry and Sergei say not to use Task Killer for android. And the generally consensus seems to be against using task killers. This ain't WinMo. anyways, I personally don't use task killers - I prefer to rely on Android to manage the memory. So far, so good.
About the widgets, I'm facing weird behavior too, most notably failing to update. I'm using ADW launcher, so I'll be moving my homescreen back to TW3.0 and see whether it's an ADW problem or a lagfix problem.
That sounds about right. It's no magic bullet. Things are still gonna stutter and spurt if your widgets are in the midst of downloading data or the processor is getting taxed for some reason.
43c idle is not normal behaviour. You sure you don't have some rogue widget/app that's either chewing up CPU cycles or making active data connections?
Yes, a fw flash wipes out your personal info, settings and apps+data. Photos and music are left untouched. Normal behavior here. Did you not read the FAQs before flashing?

I run TW3.0, lagfix, minfreemanager set at aggressive, but tweaked to custom for the first 3 parameters.
It works better than without the minfreemanager as the low mem kill level for empty app is 46mb or 48mb, I increased it to 96 and it does it me better performance.
And yes, if widgets are downloading, it will still be choppy. But with lagfix, the choppiness significantly reduced.
