My card is a nvidia card 8600m and for laddering purposes I set everything to low, desert strike runs fine until there are more than 400+ units on screen (and oddly it doesn't overheat on desert strike). My old ati cards ran fine on most games, I think its an sc2 issue, A mobility HD4670 runs sc2 on 5-10 fps is not funny at all.

5-10 fps is ridiculous dude. My iMac with a HD 4670 run just fine. It starts to lag horribly when you set the Shader to High.

Sure is ridiculous, even after patching the drivers and reformating the pc for my friend, it still runs like that sad.gif

donno what you guys complaining about framerates, i play using X3 425 with nVidia GT 220 for the whole game and didn't have issues in heavy combat scenes.

the game will decide the setting for the card. if you happen to be very clever to want to BOOST the detail, then be prepared for slowdown.

well my 4 year old 17" dell laptop (clost to 5 year old) can run on 1600reso just fine which jz makes me wonder hw can their superior gpu have much lower fps than mine...
btw its not "u guys", only mynameisjason having it lol...
i find the requirements for sc2 is freaking damn low compared to so many games (i struggle to run L4D and WoW more than sc2 LOL)

still having everything on ultra is really damn pretty (especially the zealot's blade)...
gtx460 is a superb card imho...
