if internet down. offline uses the guest account maaa.
only online acc uses bnet.
still can play one just that your bnet stats not updated!

if ur internet down u still can play the campaign, challenge mode and vs AI by offline mode.
the only thing is u cant get the achievement while in offline mode.
i tested it myself by unplug the cable and play. 100% works.

if not mistaken you need to login at least once to "activate" the feature...

Just an initial login to activate the game.

3 things i am very unhappy bout sc2,
1st too similar with sc1.. just feels like sc1 with nice 3D graphics..
2nd the lack of LAN connection n too internet dependent protection.. in my area, internet connection is a hell of instability with ping to tmnet at 900ms most of the time, i am no kidding.. due to most of my female housemates using PeePeeArse.. can u imagine the connection to bnet?
besides, majority of the campaign only focus on one single race, i waited for 12yrs for only this half-finished Sp?

other than that, I am quite happy with it. I can see there are lot of potential for the game engine n editor.

please tell me you did enjoy playing C&C 4

ehh, picky la you. i enjoyed the game, probably cos i didn't think too much. i thought the story was alright overall.

the characters were memorable, but not that good a way. Raynor like the great american hero. Kerrigan like villain. More funny i find is the scientist and mechanic stereotype. Tychus like some bad-ass. I quite like the Tosh character.

love the cinematics though.

also u can get some very basic warcraft hero elements in sc2 if you choose the nydus worms in the 2nd last mission! >=)

haha yeah....it's considered "classic" technology already...

C&C4 is bad,even back in the Beta, but does that mean that other EA games is awful?

I enjoyed RA3, ME1, ME2, DA, Burnout: Paradise, BFBC2, Shift, Fifa 2010 and a lot of older EA games. Some of them are really great games.

Just because EA made one gawd awful game (not to forget about the utterly crap new MoH MP, but a very promising SP), EA sucks as a whole? Seriously, you do need to play games made by different developer.

Activision Blizzard isnt perfect too. Blur is a piece of crap on PC, as the controls is almost unusable or the pile of crap Prototype. Using your logic, Activision Blizzard sucks too?

Im not being picky, just that Blizzard isnt doing up to expectations with the campaign.

Gameplay-wise, i say it's the best RTS campaign, but story wise, it's awful as they left a lot of things unexplained.

I admit the storyline is actually very good, after reading summaries from those SC novels/manga that explain a lot about what is happening.

Blizzard did set up a good starting point for Hearts of the Swarm at the end of Wings of Liberty, but there are just too little explanation in the game itself that made it feels empty. While the non-linear storyline makes the game feels disjointed at some point, as if the campaign has multiple plot running simultaneously.

Kerrigan just feel like a typical villain that shots fireballs,unlike the way she way portrayed in Brood War where she is a cold, heartless b****.

Would be great if they actually have an in-game encyclopedia like what Witcher, Mass Effect 1/2 or Dragon Age have, since game is bad at story telling,generally. Words always do better at story telling. The video during installation did really well, but it still miss out a lot like UED in Brood War.

My only peev so far is the region locked.
US custom games > SEA's

Oh well lets see 2 months time.

So so lar, I have already forgotten majority of the story for Starcraft 2.

However, I still can remember the story for Starcraft 1 after that refresher from the installation process.

If StarCraft 2 is cheap (<RM200), got LAN, no region lock, 3 episodes all included, can be played on low-end computer, Bnet got chatrooms and friends arent limited, .........StarCraft 2 will garner a metascore rating of 99/100 which will beat Half Life 2

if SC2 got LAN i guess half the gamer here will just wait for the crack or play at CC.
