I'm not an Alto owner, but roughly I can give you an opinion on your questions.

1. Engine is 1.0cc, at 100-110km/h, engine surely will be noisy, RPM maybe around 3.5-4k.

2. If you use normal oil, should be around 150-200 ish. However, this one better ask owner to comment directly.

3. Regular proton car surely more spacious, bigger engine but Alto is a Japanese designed, Indian built car. Quality should be better than Proton, However, do bear in mind Alto is a very basic car. Rear windows manual winding, side lamps manual adjusting and boot very small.

If I were you, look at Swift 1.5GX model, just pay about 9k more, you get a much better car with great value.

thanks for the feedback

I know there will be noisy, I just wan to know how noisy was it, was it noisy until you cant hear anything from the radio? biggrin.gif

This car i usually use for work, minor stok delivery, and travel with my wife. I really like the car design on alto over swift though, look very nice and not much seen on the road. and What is side lamps manual adjusting?

Dear all Suzuki Alto owner, I still 18-15 about buying this car. Can you guys pls gimme feedback on these following?

1. At 100-110km/h, does the engine feel noisy?
2. How much need to pay everytime you guys send it to service (suzuki garage)?
3. Anything missing that I should know compare to other regular proton car? (example: like above said " no temp gauge, only light that say when the temperature is hot")

Thx in advance, hope you guys can enlighted me biggrin.gif

1. nope.. its consider the most smooth engine for 3 cylinder engine, its starting to noise when reach 5k rpm.. but the most important thing is u must warm-up the engine around 5min at morning.. cruising at 110km/h is quite stable (due to its hard spring n absorber setup) in return Alto perform well in cornering

2. semi-synth oil rm80+ not sure, the 3rd time service rm80+ coz still no charge for labor, if there is a labor charge i hv asked b4 its rm40-50 if not mistaken..

3. no temp gauge is not an issue for new car.. vios also dont hv too what.. another thing is the tyre size, later if u need to change u need to change a bit bigger size tyre.. ori is 165/55/14 change to 175/55/14 CC5 rm160 per piece

Hi Guys,

Wanna ask u some reviews about the Suzuki Alto. tongue.gif
Whether this car is better than Myvi & etc
Hope to get some feedback from u guys or gals icon_rolleyes.gif
Small cars offer big environmental advantages: Since they’re made from relatively few materials and are concomitantly light, they save energy and inflict less damage on roads. For these reasons, Suzuki sees downsizing as a key to realizing a future in which people can enjoy eco-friendly motoring. But how comfortable, convenient, and stylish can a small car be? Suzuki has answered this question in an impressive way with the new Alto.

The new Alto reflects the unparalleled small-car know-how that has made Suzuki so successful with minicars in Japan and with compact cars such as Swift in markets around the world. Ideal for singles, couples, families and empty-nesters alike, it’s definitive response to the need for eco-friendly motoring-a car that delivers day-to-day comfort and convenience together with cost saving and a low environmental impact.

This is a shit car,
i bought this car on April
revert sensor error have to wait 1 month for claim new,
because have to wait the part from ship from india,
ok, this is minor part, i can just leave it

i accident on July,
claim for bonnet and bumper,
have to wait 1.5 month for all part delivery from India

i get back my car on september,
after 1month
EPS (electrical power steering) light turned on,
i totally could not start up my car
Suzuki tow my car back
1week but still can not verified what is the problems

i email to feedback my problem to SUZUKI but been ignored.

i think suzuki are not taking serious on this model - ALto
because they even no ready stock in Malaysia
everything have to request from India even a minor spare parts like battery / revert sensor....

im really fed-up ...

thought to buy an import car will be better than local car,
but....now even more worst.....
bought new car but no car to use....!!!

I notice alto's value drop really quick. New alto (2013) is around 51k with insurance for auto. But 2011 Alto is RM 34000 only. This is for auto.

yup.. notice about it too.. my sister kinda regret buy it coz its not suitable with her spirited driving style, as for FC now it is not the most economical which mirage has already taken the crown from it.. even for safety also there is other car in same class has higher NCAP ratings..

so huge price drop is expected..
