Dear members,

appreciate a proper feedback, my situation goes like that:

I bought a VW Eos in April 2010 from FA Wagen Jalan 222 and had a problem with the window mechanism on the passenger side. Salesman said "its like that wan". didnt argue with him and waited for another shipment of Eos (waited 8 months) to come in and made a comparison. Window mechanism confirmed faulty. this is the 9th month and they still haven't figured out what's wrong and don't seem to be very interested in getting it fixed. everytime i have to call them to chase up on this issue.

Anyways I would like to advise all Eos, Scirocco and Passat CC owners to check whether they have this problem as it will lead to a leaking roof for the Eos. Scirocco and Passat CC will get damaged window seals if this problem persist.

Is there anywhere i can do to speed up the process ? I am very frustrated in the way they are handling my problem.

thanks in advance.

whats the problem? imo you shouldnt have waited so long, u should have gone directly to the service manager/Branch manager and ask for a solution, failing which u approach VGM directly. Thier address and contact is listed on the vw site, its in bangsar

take down your sales man name and the branch manager name and employee no.

write a letter directly to VGM and copy volkswagon group asia/world

you can get VGM world email in their website.

tell the branch manager that the if no action taken by them or VGM pls take it to tribunal court
*
yup. yours is a very straight forward case, the tribunal will rule for u if u were to go before it. VW will def not want that, just make sure u start documenting your complaints

No reason to go back to VW SC for respray, they sub it out to paint shop anyways. Better to go to a paint shop u trust.

Painted my new Rear Valance for only Rm250 at my paintshop, and the colour matching is better then the original spoiler

unlikely considering the normal Golf Tsi is RM148,888k, 8k diffrence is too little between the polo gti(if it comes) to the Golf tsi....i would estimate 130+

Hi anyone own Golf 1.4 TSI here? Can u give any comment on this car, pro and cons? My shortlisted cars are 1. VW Golf 1.4TSI; 2. Proton Inspira Premium; 3. Honda Accord 2.0. Listed according to most favourite.

Rocs? Which car? Can u specifiy?
*
your choice is too wide ler bro, its almost RM65k diffrence between the 1.4 golf and the 2.0 inspira. I would buy the Inspira and put the 65k down on a Polo smile.gif 2 cars rather then just 1 golf TSI. Consider the Focus TDCI as well, which is 30k less then the 1.4 golf

No lah.... expecting to start a small family soon, so thought a small suv would be more suitable. Something like the Tiguan or XC60.

Ford escape 4x2, only rm118k..very value for money full SUV

Why?
*
1. invalidate engine warranty (this is a serious one, as the air filter is a very important part of the engine, ALL engine claims can be denied if u change filter)
2. No discernible diffrence, in fact in a few documented cases, K&N filters cause a drop in power
3. K&N is a oiled filter, gets dirty very fast in msia, u need to clean it every 5k km, and it takes a day to dry....which means u cant use your car for a day

I used to sell K&N filters, always advise customers NOT to buy...but in the end..they want..so i stock lor...not my problem if they dun want to listen to advice. 99% of k&n users...install it..and never touch for next 5 years...its damn disgusting, totally clogged with dirt and grime

Thanks for d explanation lol. I only see good reviews from the internet hmm

You got ask ur customers for their feedbacks??
*
if you just spent rm380 on a filter...are you gonna tell ppl that you are a fool and wasted the money?

anyway...its just my 2 sen...go ahead and buy and review here if u really want it

check my blog...i have tried many many filters...

Gruppe M, VF, K&N, Carbonio spent thousands experimenting...in the end..go back to stock. Buy it if you like the "look" of the filter and the Sound.....dun buy it for "Performance gains"

guys....

i've read almost all the pages in this post.... and i'm still can't make up my mind...

Polo 1.2 TSi or should i go for Polo GTi 1.8T 9N3 2008 Manufacture?

Please advice...smile.gif

i made up my mind on the 9N3 but maybe further clarification can be made by you.
*
how much is the 08 polo gti going for now? cos to be honest, the old polo is almost 2.5 generations old, so its quite outdated in terms of engine tech, chassis and interior etc. so unless its really cheap ie value for money, i would go for a new polo tsi

Even intakes won't make a diff?  blink.gif idk how a filter has anything to do with d looks since it's hidden in a box lol. Btw they're selling the panel filter for 230 now. So anything (cheap) u can recommend that'll boost some power sleep.gif"
*
talking about intakes when i mentioned looks...check out below

Gruppe M Vs VF

You want cheap way to get power...go gym and lose 15kg or

- Get lightweight titanium wheel bolts (save almost 10kg unsprung weight)
- remove your spare tire
- remove tool kit
- get vented sport discs

these are GUARANTEED to work

its classic case of a manufacturer whose product is too populor for its support network to handle.

Too many cars sold, not enough investment into the service side, the service will get worse im afraid, till the tipping point when there are just too many complaints for VGM to ignore

Oh dear..

Looks like its another Forte situation revisted.
I think too many cars is not an valid excuse. VWM sacked their previous distributor for this problem and yet looks like its creeping back again.sad.gif
So dissapointing as other german marquees still able to deliver very good service. My household has a Merc and the service rendered by Hap Seng Star is top notch. Went there to replace and to fix a glove box due to own nigligence (TNG Card got stuck) and they fixed it for free.
*
actually VW cars was sacked due to hanky panky with pricing, stock levels and discount. Thier service levels were actually ok. The reason theres not much complaints YET is becasue...majority of VW's are pretty trouble free, and there are very good outside VW workshops...

Problems with overcrowding only started this year because of the 5 year warranty and the huge increase in sales of 1.4 and polo...b4 this..most ppl didnt really care about the warranty...but now we get huge new batch of new VW owners who are flooding the service centres to maintain thier cars

So far from the earlier mentioned posts, the nightmare stories seem to come from both FA Wagen and Sg Besi Wearnes. The Wearnes at Bangsar and Ampang doesn't have a service center.

Euromobil is in Glenmarie but have no experience with it and Cergaz is quite new.
*
cannot rate a 3S based on net postings, cos ppl with issues/complaints ALWAYS will post...but ppl who are happy with service, normally dun bother. The negatives always show up more on the net

fyi, wearnes sg besi actually wont best service centre among all VW 3S as voted by actual VW customers in 2010 and 2009

euromobil is a Audi 3S and very very very busy with audi's

sadly, imo all VW 3S will be giving shitty service for the next few months, as they grapple with staff shortage and overflow of cars, just go to the VW 3S most convenient to you, dont go to a 3S based on recommendations..as staff will leave, managers get transfered etc, good 3S become bad....bad 3S improve etc

Is it cheaper to do stage 1 in S'pore than in Malaysia? Tempting but still afraid for the warranty  brows.gif
*
why would you want to do that? remapping isnt something you want someone far away to do...even if it saves u money. You need your remaper to troubleshoot and reflash errors etc tru out the lifetime of your car...u cant be running down to SG everytime u have a issue rite?

why? buyer didnt buy a car with DRL, VGM is within thier rights not to release the car.

Is that really true... that they're 'fixing' up the 2011 cars? So sad. But even if it is true, there has to be a reason why they are doing so. Maybe they're not prepared to handle the repairs for those parts.... no spare parts ... or wanna finish old parts first. Or maybe they wanna keep the DRL exclusively for the GTi or R, to set it apart from the TSI. Who knows.
*
ok im not defending VGM, im just giving reasons why VGM might have removed the lights.

- Process flow ( technicians and parts are not equipped/ready to support DRL headlights)
- Model differentiation, there could be mktg plans to introduce L&S variant with DRL later
- wrong spec vehicle sent from Germany, they cant have 1 unit with DRL..other ppl will see it and demand that thier cars have it too..or ask to purchase/install, when theres no stock

it might not feel "right", but customer is still getting 100% what he paid for. its just lax security on part of the dealer as customers should not see thier car prior to PDI

what the customer can try to do is talk to the manager to purchase the lights that was removed, since it would be just sitting in the storeroom somewhere
