Since (if) it's a company policy, then there's nothing can those employees do. It's the same as dress code policy. Or web browsing restriction policy. Admitting facts doesn't mean they can (or will) allow employees uses competitor products.

I don't think so. They're making it a cloud-based OS, and the new interface for 64-bit version is only for HIGH-END computers. The new UI is codenamed "Wind" in case if you did not know.

List of Changes:
- Cloud-based OS, in order to fight piracy, and you'll have to connect to the internet if you want to use it.
- New UI for 64-bit version, codenamed "Wind". This is the biggest change, this UI is using about 170MB of your memory and it's designed for high-end computers. It will be fully 3D UI.

Yeah, since you're not into computing that much, rearm may do the trick nicely. But for me, as I do use computers all the time, reformatting every 9 months is not an option.

You can still benefits from MSDN(AA) since they not only offers Windows licenses, they usually offers development tools too.
