Im on Windows 7 currently, seems to be perfectly stable & fast OS. Is there any reason to change into Windows 8?
Why don't you wait until Windows 8 is available for testing so you can deal with the reasons.Windows 8 News, Released on 26 Oct 2012

I'm all in for new. I migrated to VISTA b4 it was launch, same for Windows 7 and soon Windows 8.
I laugh at people who is so scared of new O/S that they still hiding behind Windows XP after 1 decade!!! Added on September 15, 2010, 8:54 pm QUOTE(FarCry3r @ Aug 23 2010, 07:58 PM) Maybe, maybe not. I'm particularly interested about booting Windows (almost) instantly, which, up till now, is not do-able. Full migration to 64-bit and component-based install are both interesting to follow. I think that is almost DO-ABLE and at the same time NOT-DOABLE. DO-ABLE is the sense if you spend RM3xx on an SSD, it's almost happening. Not DO-ABLE, is due to BIOS boot up is still pretty slow especially if you enable SATA mode(AHCI) or RAID...even before going into O/S, maybe 10 seconds gone liao, so even with SSD, time lost on BIOS boot up is unavoidable. It takes a combination of SSD and a faster BIOS bootup in order to have a PC boot up under 3 seconds me thinks. I thought there were talks of moving the PC BIOS to EFI like Macintosh....still nothing yet?? This post has been edited by Matrix: Sep 15 2010, 08:54 PM |

Hmm... I was using Windows 2000 for my work last time.
It was stable. But it's lack of interface candies made me install tonnes of stuff which got me walking into the Computer department for my quarterly re-image. That is, until they got fedup and installed windows XP for me in the end. So, Microsoft was right to put some eye candies into their interface so users won't have to spoil the OS, too much... |

Is there any reason to change into Windows 8? it's not our decision to decide whether to change or not.. when microsoft says upgrade to win8 they we must upgrade lo, they will drop the support for win7.. |
