my frends already have windows 8..but its not genuine..he just downloaded the setup from internet..maybe fake one..

not fake.. its maybe BETA.. it was leaked around the world now..

nope..the beta still not leaked. Maybe it is wdp version

Here some date from the roadmap:

From 8th to Jan 21th = Pre-BETA

23rd, Windows 8 enter in Beta Escrow.

From 23rd to 28th, testers will vote for the Beta final build and then sign off the Beta.

30th, the Beta will be showed during an internal preview.

Targeted build number: 8200.winmain_win8b1

tried the WDP. being a preview, some drivers and apps are not supported. but at least I had a feel of it! biggrin.gif naisss. boots up very quickly.

to those who want to try windows 8 before anyone else, can try the windows developer preview (WDP) downloadable from:

According to Microsoft, the usage of RAM in windows 8 will be half on Windows 7 usage. I forgot the source. It mention last year.
But win 8 look like more for tablet rather than for desktop. hmm.gif

Window 8 looks really promising, but i think Window 7 will do. 8 will mostly come with bugs and stuff like that. Skip a window xD

If you're going to use Windows 8, better wait a while until the Consumer Preview is out in these couple of weeks, try it out first and see if you like it or not before you purchase it when it's gone gold later.
