Ah.. But Bebe is seen by fans as more of an AMC than a center forward, so we kinda get a 2 in 1 deal. Plus he'll play mostly in the reserves i reckon

QUOTE(Envoy @ Aug 12 2010, 11:46 AM) 7 million is a little steep for a reserve player, true. In my opinion he is a buy for the future, since Scholes, Giggs, Carrick, Gibson et al are still in contention as starters. Unless Bebe does a Chicharito, of course - then he might start sooner than we think. Lack of pre-season with the squad can also prove vital at this point, don't think SAF would break him in that soon, that's all. But still, A homeless world cup??? I would pay to watch that! |

QUOTE(+Newbie+ @ Aug 12 2010, 11:52 AM) I think, that everyone has said what they wanted to say. I am guessing it's slightly less than the 7 million BOC but spread out over 3-4 years based on appearances. The team is top tier of the league after all, with all this 'value' talk in the market, I don't think they'll sell that cheap. As he is under 21, his buy seems to fit into the new rule? I foresee things going south unless it is checked. Therefore, now that all is said and done, can we focus back on what brought us here in the first place? Justin Bieber Nah, apparently, the figure is officially undisclosed and that 7 million figure was quoted by The Sun from his buy out clause. For all we know, it could be less. Whatever the price is, I can't wait to watched the compilation video (which is not fact, i know) but his movement is similar to a certain Didier Drogba. Quick feet after that tackle to the defender. D'you think they'll sing the JB song if he were to score? This post has been edited by gizmoduck: Aug 12 2010, 12:08 PM |

Or maybe Nani needs a new roommate?
Nani: "Era uma vez um pintinho que nunca ria. Um dia ele caiu e rachou o bico!" Bebe: "ha ha you not funny" |

QUOTE(__mill @ Aug 12 2010, 02:28 PM) eh wait.. what happen to Bebe? why is he called homeless? (lazy to dig previous pages.. ) could anyone kindly explain that to me? thanks Bebe was once homeless before he started professional football, therefore making him eligible to play for the homeless world cup. It's not dig at homeless people, but more for the rags to riches element to it all that intrigues me personally |

QUOTE(Wan @ Aug 14 2010, 03:32 AM) Might not watch their games too much unless I have nothing else to do, but would follow their club's results and read the forums now and then to see the reactions. Welbeck at Sunderland, James and King at Preston definitely would be fun. Diouf might spring a surprise as well. Although he's a bit hit and miss, but his pace and the way he always look to run in behind will get him a few goals. Onuoha was brilliant last season tbf, why'd sell him? Suppose they didn't learn the lessons of Chelsea. You can't buy success, only add to it.Read that Sunderland wants Bellamy. Onuoha(?) already left on loan to join Sunderland. |

Granted they do have a strong squad but a few bad results and some key injuries would see them struggling for cohesion. David Silva is the best addition of the lot IMO but he might end up missing his girlfriend David Villa half way through the season and demand a move to Barcelona

QUOTE(Wan @ Aug 14 2010, 02:44 PM) They'll get the right mix soon. If not this, then probably next or the one after that. Ahh.. in your list above, the order of teams does not indicate anything in particular does it Too bad for them the other clubs are pretty strong as well. Chelsea, Utd Arsenal, Pool, Spurs, Citeh Everton.. Eventually with all that money they'll get a team sorted out. Might take a few seasons and Mancini seems to be the right guy for the job. I felt that Mark Hughes was doing alright to be honest and its a shame that he was sacked. He bought the right kind of players; used to the EPL style of play and properly settled in. I'm not sure the mercenaries from the SPL and Serie A can learn the language and pace of the game that quickly. Not sure if Ballotelli can speak English. Language barrier can frustrate a player very quickly. If anything, they'll be up there with Everton and Spurs for the fourth spot. Not sure if Liverpool has the right team to break back into the top four if Torres is injured again. Certainly make the EPL a bit more interesting this season eh? top flight footie is back people!!!!! Added on August 14, 2010, 3:01 pm QUOTE(Sheep319 @ Aug 14 2010, 02:51 PM) perfect chance to test if your 'powers' extend beyond the United line-up. Maybe David Silva for avatar before the match tonight? This post has been edited by gizmoduck: Aug 14 2010, 03:01 PM |
