I have already paid for Macbook Pro 13" 2.4GHz. Wish I can afford the 2.66 one but no budget.

QUOTE(erszebeth @ Nov 20 2010, 10:50 PM) im not a mac user, but still, as far as i know, mac os wont be affect by most of the existing virus (perhaps all)... correct me if im wrong... Yeah, quite true. No many, but there are still some virus out there that can attack Mac OS. Just a few hours ago, when I inserted my friend's pendrive into my mac os, straight kena virus already. so I have to use Sophos but I don't think it's good enough. I would much rather use my Norton(don't waste it mah) but there's some reviews saying Norton's not good for Mac users, Norton's only good in Windows. |

QUOTE(benny888 @ Nov 20 2010, 11:47 PM) You can use your present Windows Norton ONLY in Windows OS. So if you want to use it, installed example Windows 7 on your Mac via another interface - bootcamp, or VMWare Fusion or Parallel. Then you have dual boot system in your MAC. As far as I know Norton doesn't have any anti viruius solution for MAC OSX. Infact there are very few such solutions. You can google for Mac anti-virus software if you really need it yeah but sadly I just got it just now. Some runddl thing. Sorry not really good in Mac and computing. BTW, I was checking out this Front Row app and I couldn't play the trailers. I have no idea why. The video just load but it doesn't play. I pressed the play button, the spacebar but it doesn't work. What should I do?I was suprised that you mentioned you immediately has virus - this is indeed very rare |

QUOTE(frozzbyte @ Nov 21 2010, 01:27 AM) @akaneikegami oh, so if the sophos detected the rundll thing, I just ignore? Because I am scared it will kena my files. Oh, I can play it on Safari. Because there's the play button there but Front row don't have the play button, so I don't know what to press to play it. Any idea?rundll only affect windows (since windows use DLL files). Don't think you're infected with viruses from windows. About the trailers, can you play them in safari? Go to www.apple.com/trailers |

QUOTE(nimrod323 @ Nov 22 2010, 09:54 AM) i hear this and see this all my time, the number of people abusing the students rates are even higher. typical cheapskate mentality because they don't need any verification that's why. they should students scan their student card, IC etc. I buy at student price because I am indeed a student and I have to pay for my Macbook Pro myself. |

I read reviews online and they got so many bad things to say about DHL. Read until I scared. QUOTE(wiraone @ Nov 22 2010, 08:52 PM) Sent my MBP last Monday to VR Tech and was told that it will be ready by Friday .. no call from them, so I called them up today .. and guess what, the girl who picked the phone said that the could only checked my MBP on Friday (I've told them that it needs HD replacement on Monday when I sent the MBP).. and she told me that it will take another week or so for the HD to be sent to Singapore and the replacement to be sent back to VR Tech. Adoi.... but she gave me a solution, get myself a new HD first, they'll replace the HD with mine.. and when the replacement HD arrive, they'll call me up to pickup the HD. So, got myself a 500GB Hitachi 7200rpm and will go down to YKS tomorrow .. 30 mins was the time I was told for them to replace the HD. The girl said they're outnumbered by number of repairs need to be done.. I wonder how bad Apple products now when it will take them more than a week to get fixed (and me w/o the MBP). my goodness. so long. 1 week is insanely long. Maybe not all so teruk one la. |
