This is a thread to explain your rig on playing SC2 and the outcome of the graphics performance so that people who haven't bought the game could expect what performance on what type of rig and also the current players can make a comparison on their rigs.

Mine is
C2D 3.7Ghz
2 Gig RAM
9800GTX
Using XP SP2

Can set all to ultra settings. AA must change at NVIDIA control panel for better graphics. For campaign, at times there will be a lil bit lag when got many units and in-game cut-scenes but so far, not a problem with that.

Loading time for campaign is normal, but maybe can improve if I have 4 Gig RAM.

1280 x 1024 native resolution on a non wide dell LCD

amd phenom ii x4 945 3.0ghz
3 gb ddr2 ram 667mhz
sapphire ati hd 5750 512mb gddr5 ram

vsycn on, high settings

60 fps in menu, joey ray's bar, on board hyperion and game engine cinematics

40 - 60 fps in battle field depending on activity on screen.


smooth, i would say.

Full ULTRA settings. Lag still present at certain highly densed scenes. Problem most likely due to the GC.

what about ultra settings?
and what's your OS and the version?

ultra settings,

30 fps on board hyperion, etc.
erm 30 - 50 fps in battle field? belum really cuba lagi.
last time during beta, it was 30 - 50 fps i think.


in my eyes, ultra vs high not really much noticeable difference so i am happy with high for better frame rate per second.

all setting to medium...good enuf d

very smooth min i think 45 to 60fps
internet using digi broadband
NEVER lag..

yeah, i notice that the server management for SC2 is better than SC1 as the experience of lagging is very minimal.

You guys are forgetting the most important part, resolution size.

1280 x 1024 and ultra settings around 30fps, now using same resolution, some medium, some low, but model at high, for easy micromanagement + competitive gameplay.

mine is running 1280 x 1024, native lcd resolution of my non wide dell lcd 5 years old since 2005

Nothing beats my 17" crt since 1998

1024x768 ?

17" CRT can go up to 1280 x 1024 lar.

my dell 1998 CRT still working nicely.

i also forgot to mention
my resolution is 22" lcd dell 1680 x 1050

I don't think 2G is enough, well, maybe on XP they do, but certainly not on Win7.
