just so-so overall (not watch the finale yet).. Ashida Mana saved the show..

its started really well, but gradually became poor in the 2nd half.. no chemistry between lead characters, poor story telling..

Higashino Keigo Mysteries [2012]
mixed quality. story 01, 05, 09, 11 are fine. the rest are meh..

Ghost Mama Sousasen [2012]
dropped after first episode..

GTO [2012]
dropped after third episode..

I agree about most of what you write up there. especially GTO and Iki mo dekinai natsu. Disappointing. I can't judge GTO much since I dropped after 1st episode, but I'm just not interested in that kind of high school drama. Instead, I'd recommend the other one, Kuro no Onna Kyoushi, which turned out pretty amusing and interesting. I actually watched it all in one-go (well almost), surprisingly better than the others imo.

As for Beautiful Rain, the beginning was good but so draggy towards the end (still haven't finished). It feels like not getting anywhere with the plot when the actors/actresses are good ones, their talents are so wasted there. Not even cute Ashida Mana can save it.

Ghost Mama was funny though. I'm continuing it. Higashino was a hit and miss for me. I usually like mysteries and Japanese dramas offer a lot of them, but this one is disappointing despite the number of top-notch actors/actresses they hire for it. Too bad.

As for Tokkan, I'm left with the final episode. Rich Man Poor Woman is kinda expected with the plot but it makes for the better ones this season.

I haven't browsed through the titles for next season. Hope it'll be better than this one though.

Double Face - Nishijima Hidetoshi!!! Like him ever since Strawberry Night. And it's police drama, awesome~

i've been watching old drama lately..

I start with cheap love (1999) which gave a big impact to me. I'm watching this drama for the sake of Takashi Sorimachi and it's not disappoint me with his acting.

Chemistry between Sorimachi and Mayu not bad but at the same time not as good as i expected but still the message deliver..

The storyline near to reality where ordinary person try to change her life and trash of the society who trigger the change and encourage her to take the risk.

overall I can said they deliver a good dark romantic genre to the audience. Although the ending quiet predictable but still I enjoy the drama...

3/5 star for the rate..

after this i think i want to re-watch Virgin road i'm on the mood to watch all sorimachi drama..

Cheap Love are ok. Sorimachi was very huge star in jdrama scene after GTO. another good one from him are Hotman, got 2 seasons. Beach Boys are also good.

i dont remember much Virgin Road, but i think i watched it halfway only.. i recall the scene in church on montage..

I also think i'm watching virgin road half way only it made me want to re-watch again..suddenly wanted to re-watch old jdorama like long vacation , summer snow, Aishiteiru to Ittekure, and shotgun marriage i think i almost forgot the storyline but the feeling and soul that left from the drama still overwhelming...

The latest love story that I really like will be buzzer beat after that i still searching for the good love stories from jdorama...nowhere can be found...

Buzzer Beat are good. but its typical young-ish romance story, most teenagers will love this one. i dont think Yamashita Tomohisa have decent works after this drama.

Aibu Saki in slut role, but i think i like her acting in this drama than her typical cute role. i have silly crush on Kitagawa Keiko start to follow her dramas /movies afterward..

basketball scenes are good, believe-able. the actors probably have some good basic skills.

hahaha i'm not soo teenager but i love this drama because it's quiet real for me...I found kitagawa pair with yamapi look so good...can feel the chemistry.. yup I also become one of the kitagawa follower after this drama..she as Riko so likeable in the drama... but i dun like her at tsuki no koibito but she come back with Nazotoki wa Dinner no Ato de and she look loveable here...whenever she act actually she remind me of erika sawajiri..

i agreed yamapi dun have good drama after buzzer beat..although Saikou no Jinsei no Owarikata also not doin great..

^ really?? i think saikou no jinsei no owarikata is quite fun..maybe not as good as others yamapi's drama but i enjoyed it very much. one of the reason is because i know most of the actor actress, yamapi, acchan, chinen, the police girl... i admit the drama is quite slow, but it's not that bad.. (but i know the rating is low)

GTO ep 11 disappointing me much.. it's very lame for me, i keep forward the video. hope the SP wont give me the same feeling.

Beautiful Rain [2012]

watched the finale last night. its meaningless ending. they can wrap up this story in 2 episodes.

I watched first episode of Kekkon Shinai. Well it reflects the reality of the Japanese society where the unmarried rate are getting higher. 天海祐希 as the main character.. well, her image really fits into this kind of story.

Interesting first episode and guess I will continue follow this drama. Long time didn't see Tamaki Hiroshi actings already.

kekkon shinai? is that the drama about rental family service? i think i watched the SP. so the 1st ep released already?
definitely will download this drama, the SP is so good. love tamaki hiroshi in there^^ his acting is great.

Amami Yuki in there, my fav 40 something actress, beautiful lady.. this one more to romance, drama or comedy? she was in possibly same theme drama Around 40.. a bunch of 40 something ladies, talking and worrying about their marriage, late marriage, love, future, careers etc..

i'll watch Going My Home tonight. expect a good thing. Abe Hiroshi and Yamaguchi Tomoko (Long Vacation)..

Not really, is about modern society where marriage is not something necessary anymore, even though they still want to get married somehow...

Yeah, almost similar characteristics in Around 40... she always portrays the example of independent, successful beautiful woman.

I think more towards romance with slight comedy.

Anyways, my verdict for now is that this is not for people who likes fast-paced dramas. They really take their time showing different characters' lives, mainly Abe Hiroshi's of course.

agreed. its very slow pace drama, but mind u most of my favourite jdrama are slow paced.

the first 45min, i felt there's almost non story. no conflicts, no dramas, pointless. but i think the acting are top notch, with some comedic reliefs.

overall the im disappointed. but i can bear another episode and see it from there. im a big Abe Hiroshi fan..

ep1 of Kekkon Shinai really is similar to Watashi ga renai dekinai riyuu, the whole setup and theme too. So far it's okay. I like all three main leads, so that's plus.

As for tokyo airport, I was just browsing through and the moment Kyoko Fukada speaks Engrish, I can't stand any longer. If I were the pilot, I wouldn't be able to catch what she's saying I hope the real control tower officers have good and fluent english at least.
