if Bandai releases the HG GN-X IV varitaions, i'd rather get 'em than the HG Braves. The Buster Sword on the GN-X IV's left shoulders seems similar like the one attached to GN-X II's

QUOTE(Vorador @ Sep 9 2010, 02:20 PM) hey got a question to all the PG owner here: do you all paint it? or just leave the ori color and do the panel lining? I would think it's really up to you. From what I have seen of the runners, the colour seperation seems rather good so painting is optional methinks.Personally, mine are in cold storage until i get confident enough with my airbrush. |

If you're a modeller, of cos you'll paint it. Once you painted your kit, you'll never go back to just snap fit..
If you're a collector, you won't unless you pay someone to paint for you. lol |

lol why you want to paint the PG? it already molded with full color so no need to do that... unless you want your PG to be good enough to enter BAKUC so go on with painting...

This is a hobby. Buying gunpla isn't just for snap fit. all the kits are molded with color too so what's the difference if u say PG.People paint their gundams because they can change the color scheme or just follow the art box. People like to achieve something which that did themselves and able to display it beautifully. Not only just for contest.. For an example my friend did for his client, PG 00 http://www.facebook.com/#!/album.php?a...4&id=1348429491 QUOTE(Hellscream @ Sep 9 2010, 06:13 PM) By right, you're not suppose to pose/play the model after painted because chances of scratching the paint.Posing should be fun but have to becareful. Playing is not recommended.. lol QUOTE(madmoz @ Sep 9 2010, 06:39 PM) Totally Agree. Once you have finished painting it to your own liking, it would be like the only one in the world because you did it yourself. This post has been edited by z3r0717: Sep 9 2010, 07:10 PM |

Well so far i don't have any issues with paint chipping or scratches for reposing my models after painting them. I always repose my painted gundams every month.
Just be careful when moving it, and of course, there's some skills to master how to paint those fragile joint parts and inner skeletons so when you move/twist the body parts, the paint won't come out |

Selamat Hari Raya to all Gunpla are model kits not toys.. Yea i know that HG will be different, well they are small, of course not all the color will be there but that is mostly for the old kits. Newer kits mostly don't have that issue alr.. It's ok, i forgive you padawan. and selamat hari raya to muslim friends This post has been edited by z3r0717: Sep 9 2010, 07:38 PM |

Pre-assemble kit -> sand nib marks/cover seam line -> prime/surfacer -> paint -> decal -> top coat. That's all, there are still a few steps in between but can skip if u want. |

QUOTE(xDarkKn1ghtx @ Sep 9 2010, 08:13 PM) Well.. I know this is not the appropriate place for asking but is the process of painting kits easy? if we spray each runner colour by colour. Paint a model kit is never easy at 1st, and it also depends on how a modeler defines "easy". You can paint the colour straight on the runner, then only cut the parts out, but there will be nib holes of course; You can cut them out 1st, group them together by body parts or runner numbers, then only paint; You can cut them out 1st, sand and modify with pla plates/pla beams/3rd party parts, then only paint... everything depends on you, whether how hard you want to make it.I think painting a model kit is not easy, but it's fun to do, if you have all the correct tools and materials with you of course. I have invested quite some money for the tools, since i'm sure that modeling is one of my hobby that would last forever Of course, it's not cheap though those materials and tools, but they would last you for very long if you know to how take care and maintain them. |

Have u painted/air brushed any kit before? 2. have u customised your kit, be it colour/mods/kitbash? if u have not, i believe u shud try, becos otherwise u'll never know why some of us prefer to AB our own kits. Why need to repaint PG kits? cos some of us prefer to have a pink coloured PG Red Frame. I've ABed 2 of my kits before. Personally i like it very much, but becos i'm prefer to play around with my kits, i chose not to fully paint them anymore. instead just paint the exhausts and pistons/pipe. So in near future, try not to simply bash other ppl alright this thing left my mouth gaping.. the details are just too awsm... ![]() This post has been edited by MyKy44: Sep 9 2010, 10:41 PM |
