QUOTE(silverbolt143 @ Aug 18 2010, 05:00 PM) Hi, just wanna know if there's any charges by AA (i.e.penalty. fee) for "no-show".... Maybe there was some miscommunication with the counter staff ? How can AA penalise you when AA have no access to your bank account or your wallet ?Example: i book three tickets as a group but come to the actual date only myself can make it...would i be penalized for those two who's not coming... This kind of situation happen to me last few months while travelling with another local airlines...We book and paid 3 return tickets (KL-Sandakan), but come to actual date one of my friend couldnt fly with us...during check-in, the counter staff told us that we need to inform them earlier in case of no show...otherwise we'll be penalised...i said whatta heck, got such thing arrr??? we already paid & summore not asking for refund ... The only reason AA want you to formally inform to cancel your ticket is probably they can reopen the seat and sell it to some one else. |

QUOTE(atah @ Dec 6 2010, 05:25 PM) if i make the flight booking first and add those add-ons later (food, seat, luggage), will it still be the same price as if i would to get it together with the flight tickets? The meal will be the same price but not for the super size luggage. It will be more expensive. |

QUOTE(mbj78 @ Jan 3 2011, 10:06 PM) Hi ALL AA SIFUS, I will travel from KCH to KUL this coming 10th MAC and the arrival stated is at 2050. My next flight is KUL to PEN at 2150. I plan to Web Check In for both flight and waiting in the LCCT boarding terminal. No you can't. When you arrived at LCCT, you must walk out to the main terminal building in order to get to the departure hall entrance check point. My question is 1) Can I wait inside the terminal without going out to arrival hall at LCCT becoz this is my first time at LCCT 2) Any sifus have experienced like this kindly shared yours... 1 hour time gap between flights is indeed looking for trouble. Chances of missing your second flight is very high if your 1st flight delay by a mere 15min, because the plane needs 10 to 15 min to park after landed and waiting for the exit from the plane and the walk from the parking bay to the departure hall may take another 10-15 min depending on where your are seated. |

QUOTE(Human Nature @ Mar 30 2011, 06:09 PM) Hmm, my cabin luggage is overweight by 1kg...wondering if they will stop me and insist of checking it in.. QUOTE(AngelLingLing @ Mar 30 2011, 06:23 PM) Air Asia implement new measure to curb passenger carrying hand carry more than 7kg. When you check in or verify your web checking boarding pass at the check in counter, you will be asked to weight your hand carry bag. A tag labeled as Approved Cabin Luggage will be issued and stick to the bag if the weight is below 7kg. A passenger in front of me at the check in counter had no other choice but to pay RM30 to check in his unlocked backpack. However, 1 extra laptop bag or lady's hand bag is allowed. ( forgot to ask they will weight the hand bag though) ![]() This post has been edited by aeiou228: Apr 8 2011, 06:47 PM |

QUOTE(noprob @ Apr 8 2011, 07:18 PM) All sectors. At LCCT avoid checking in at the counter, use the kiosk. then at the departure entrance, AA staff only use their "sigh judgement"(discretion) to decide whether your hand carry is subjected to proper weighing or not. |

Some of the reasons to keep the cabin luggage weight < 7kg are:-
* To reduce the turnaround time for the passengers boarding and disembarking. Thus AA save money. * On board passengers safety. You don't want a 10KG bag fall on your head from the overhead compartment accidentally right ? * "Encourage" the use of check-in baggage to increase sales revenue. |

QUOTE(munkeyflo @ Apr 10 2011, 12:47 PM) Quite recent actually. I've done 3 bookings this year, 2 done during promotion period around February and one more few weeks ago regular ticket price. Why want to board first All went smoothly without any problems with direct debit. Seriously? How long was your flight delayed? Cause I have another flight from CHC to Auckland at 6am after arriving CHC around 11pm estimated time. And I paid hundred plus for the hot seat. Cannot board first? |

QUOTE(TuX @ Apr 14 2011, 03:16 PM) Hello, AA only allow FREE changes of flight schedule when they re-time your confirmed flight schedule. Maybe there was a re-time but you are not aware of ? I just went to the airport to CHANGE my flight DATES/TIMES. However, I wasn't charged a single cent. Anyone know why? I was very prepared to pay, but the attendant kept saying that I don't have to pay anything! My booking is now confirmed on the new date in the system. Is this normal? If yes, what's the rules and regulations? If it's not normal, WOW! I SAVED A LOT OF MONEY! Please tell me this is a MIRACLE QUOTE(shiloong7081 @ Apr 14 2011, 05:04 PM) backpacks you say ? What about those big ass backpackers backpacks ? like 45-60l backpacks. Thinking whether should i risk it or not Even if you backpackers backpack is <7kg, you won't get thru to the departure gate due to violation of the permitted cabin baggage size. This post has been edited by aeiou228: Apr 14 2011, 06:17 PM |

QUOTE(stimix @ May 23 2011, 03:24 PM) For me due to twice last min cancellation & to get back my refund to the Max, I no longer add-in baggages, food, insurance & etc..Only till weeks b4 going & confirmed. I started buying those add-on. Reason beeing..Once you cancel, those add-on & fare is consider burnt..You can only claim back the airport tax.. But you add in baggage later more expensive wor. |
