im using ikari laser, i think it's more or less the same shape and weight. But i assure you, it's heavier then Kinzu, Abyssus and Krait. =) Go to shops and ask if they can open it for you to 'feel' . dont regret buying the mouse that you won't like in future, you'll end up changing mouses every 3 months like me  blush.gif

Im faster than you biggrin.gif

SteelSeries never really had a bling concept for their products. They lean more towards performance and durability. biggrin.gif

2 types, V1 and V2.
difference is the 25% increase in sound driver size from 40mm to 50mm. Better sound quality and leather cushions in the V2 instead of the foam in the V1. Also the V2 has an integrated mic built into the left earcup.

Alex, no copyright?  laugh.gif

Yup. Definitely.

basshead? you might want to consider getting audiophile headphones.
BeyerDynamics DT880, Audio Technica AD700..
*
Who tell you AD700 for basshead?
SteelSeries Siberia v2 bass beats all AT audiophile class headphone in bass..
If you compare the v2 and the SJ series..You'll notice there is a battle in bass..
Audiophile class i dont think so..The only audiphile headphones with the best bass is ad300 but doesnt compared to v2

what happen to the corsair headset?  laugh.gif
how about the woodys in at? i think woodies tapau siberia like nth.imo.
*
Bass and Sound Quality is different thing
Woody and Audiophile doesnt aimed at bass..They are balanced headphones...they need the help of amplifiers to get the best sound out of them
Do you think those woodies and audiophile can plug directly into your soundcard? The quality arent best...Amplifier to drive then around 1k also
They need amplifier and they are the main modifier in sound
V2 is no where compared to that..V2 is a gamin headset which aimed at better bass

yeah slightly tight. hope it will loosen up in the future  rclxms.gif
very comfortable despite the tightness. and sound quality is crystal clear.
as for the bass, not really exactly heart beating. but is ok for me since i aint a bass head tongue.gif

p/s - if u realise. the song impossible by shontelle. starting part theres some *water dripping* sound. can't hear that using normal speaker, only can hear with headsets. on the 7h even ur volume is moderate. u can listen tat extremely clearly.
*
I never tried the 7H before but the H-line headset is more focused on treble than bass..(except 3H)
thats why sounded crystal clear

QUOTE(TechnoG @ Oct 8 2010, 07:56 PM)
to me both is almost the same  laugh.gif
I hang my Siberia on my LCD screen.
*
3 days working for steelseries in the fair reli gives me a hell lot of info to give you guys biggrin.gif
No la the v1 is less padded while v2 is more padded..So the v2 headset wont be choking you that hard

Hangs V2 on neck. However it doesn't choke me as much as the V1 for some reason. I guess the leather cushions reduce the pressure.
*
Which 1 is more heavily padded? biggrin.gif

now i using ikari laser
ikari optical cant use the dpi changer button to change dpi setting??
*
can..just have to set it in the software 1st..then you are good to go

QUOTE(Lil Kiasu @ Oct 20 2010, 03:12 PM)
I just use 800 for sniping and fps uses... 1600 for RTS mode~  biggrin.gif
*
i duno why people change dpi setting for sniping and rifle mode

QUOTE(QuickFire @ Oct 20 2010, 05:20 PM)
I only play shooters anyway, I dont need those ultra high sensitivity settings, and I read optical mice are better than lasers when it comes to FPS games. Still, Logitech's MX518 has it beat hands down with regards to features and build quality, and at half the price too.
*
we look at the frames per seconds more than dpi

Well, there's no actual line whether it is worth it or not. If you think that by using an optical mouse can help improve your experience with a gaming mouse then to me, it is worth it. You won't want to be using something that you don't like or not comfortable with. biggrin.gif
*
comfy is a must

QUOTE(andrewtho @ Oct 22 2010, 10:35 AM)
Moving cursor like the cursor just moves itself without moving the mouse. But I don't think I want an optical ikari. Maybe going to DA. Thanks anyway
*
its called jitter...ikari laser sahudnt have that problem..
what mousepad u using? i tested DA with 4HD and it sucks

QUOTE(Devilene @ Oct 22 2010, 12:01 PM)

My mouse is actually 2 months old and i clean it quite often, so i think the dirt shouldn't be the problem. But for the mousepad wise, im using QCK+.

@ yong : No vibrations, no speakers turned on while using the mouse, and i think there is nothing blocking the cable.

But i think its the mousepad issue.

my laser no problem wit qck
