Well first of all, I would suggest that you read the press release once again. From TODAY onwards, yes we will charge a surcharge of RM30 per item for any SS products that are purchased from those retailers which are NOT under our official distribution list. So if your concern would be that you will be charged for a RM30 surcharge just because you bought it from some retailers previously dated before the 15th of November 2010, provided with a valid receipt, yes I can assure you that the warranty issue is no issue. This is our way at PLAY Interactive to provide SS fans and enthusiasts protection or valid warranty from the distributor itself should you purchased any SS products that might be defect items and should not know where to seek RMA services from.

I hope this would answer your curiosity. And of course we do hope that you as a SS loyal fan, would not boycott SS products from now on as for your actions would definitely bring negative influence to other SS users out there.

So indirectly the new policy states that if u buy any products from inter-asia u have to pay play interactive rm30 so they can process the warranty claim...
guess more politics involved again...

Mind you, we are not charging you like shit, should you need hassle free RMA services, you may always purchase SS products from our official retailers and this is our way of protecting all of you SteelSeries fans throughout Malaysia in terms of purchasing SS products under our distribution as the exclusive distributor with valid warranty and reduce the risk of purchasing any defect items in the market.

We hope that you TechnoG and all the SteelSeries fans would understand this policy and continue supporting SS in the future.

well i personally find it unfair, it's like sending to shops we bought after a year then getting charge RM30-50 depending on items. First of all not everyone are able to get it from retailers depending on locations . thats really absurd for charging. whats the main reason? what does the RM30 do? if 1 to 1 exchange for warranty claim and get charge then it's fine. if just warranty claim, it's pretty pointless.

If your SteelSeries product(s) is bought before the date of the press release, you won't be charged anything for warranty claims (unless you send it to a retailer and the retailer charges a handling fee which is not by PLAY Interactive). However, if your SteelSeries product(s) is bought after the date of the press release and it is not under PLAY Interactive's distribution then yes you will be charged RM30 for warranty claims (not including handling fees from retailers if you send it to retailers).

About the handling fee from retailers, that will only be charged if your product(s) is not bought from that particular retailer of course.

hmm yea, so means those previous inter-asia dealers with old stock...and never signed on under play interactive are shit out of luck?

Well, then that's hard to say (regarding the pirated stickers, all up to the dealers/retailers to be honest) but I think Inter-Asia already running out of stocks for their hot items (e.g. 7G, Siberia etc). Also, getting directly from PLAY Interactive would be better for the dealers/retailers.

how to monopolize?

preview only got no ALL IT? computer war? c-zone? software boutique? are these retailers on the list? if not, so means these retailers with old inter-asia stock are now condemned to having their customers pay RM30 for warranty purposes or to sign up with play interactive just to avoid that?
