I want to sell my Ikari Optical for RM129 biggrin.gif I didnt like the feel of it.. Sigh sad.gif used less than 5 days and it still has warranty

I used to have the Ikari Laser and i sent it for warranty so i bought the Razer Death Adder as a replacement

I thought i would love the feel of the ikari optical since i would be getting back my Ikari Laser soon.. But in the end it felt really weird using it and so i went back to the razer =( thou my whole gear is SS Im a loyal ss fan biggrin.gif
*
you like Ikari Laser but don like Ikari Optical??
Whats the problem?? sensor?? precision??

QUOTE(victor2212 @ Nov 2 2010, 11:02 PM)
what is your mouse sensitvity in windows? half?
get smaller la, cause the portion of the pad will raise the height of a part of the keyboard making it not balance, not so nice to type.
*
I think the tilted height shouldn't be a problem since qck's thickness only 2mm.
I don know how about the other, but for my case is like this. I using quite a big office table for my computer, then i put the monitor next to wall then my keyboard and mouse is next to the monitor as well. Therefore there is a very large distance from myself to the keyboard, i always rest both my arm on the table. The table's edge is like hurting my arm, so i put a cloth mat there always.
Then another 4 hd is on the cloth mat, some time when lazy means not sitting straight then will pull the mouse to the cloth mat.

Problem now is i feel uncomfortable to use the kinzu both on 4hd the goliathus, so plan to trade the goliathus for qck. Therefore i always using big size cloth mat for arm rest purpose lol
But qck+ width cant fit into original goliathus position then only i ask the question.
(hope you all can illustrate what i am talking about)

well, won't it be better if you get a pad that fits? i mean, if u get the big one, not only you'll probably damage it by putting your k/b on it, you'll also be paying for the space that you won't be using (bcoz your k/b took it).
*
If your statement totally correct i sure won't get the large one.
My table got lot of space to put it, but a particular corner can't only, maybe just 2cmx5cm at the top left corner. Compare the ratio to qck+ full size, this area just very very small portion only

Last time alpha goliathus size fit perfectly haiz

Anyway you reconsider whether wanna get Qck+, maybe just change the Kinzu's feet will be direct and fastest way to solve the problem.

if you go past few page and read what i ask then you will know why i say so.

Because my goliathus control cant let my kinzu skate nicely so planning to upgrade to Qck+. Because the Qck+ bit too big any normal Qck bit too small so i am think which 1 to get. If say get a set of kinzu's glide then can skate nicely on 4hd then i no need to get Qck+ also never mind.
Now you can illustrate how they are related??

yah, now i see.. i was thinking about size all along. laugh.gif

in that case, won't any smooth pad will do? as it is, i see that the smoothness of your mouse glide is the root of this problem.

as long as it fits on your desk space, of course.
*
I think will temporarily change my mind don't get Qck first.
Current plan is add the Kinzu's glide on it and then use it on Destructor for my lappie as an on-the-go mouse first.
It's smaller size is better in mobilize compare to my ikari and DA.

wow ikari really feel diff with my old cheap mouse in starcraft 2, all the clicking is smoother.

but i still feel 1600dpi is too fast, should i learn to adapt to it or stick to 800dpi?
*
You just buy a new ikari optical?? Why not just get ikari laser from edifier??
With the cpi toggling, the too high or too low dpi problem will be solve.

Ikari optical should be plug and play and work well without need install anything. The original dpi setting is 400 and 1600 if i not mistaken.
At 1600 dpi and max sensitivity, the mouse should go almost out of control already, and it really moving very slow after you update the firmware, then most probably then problem is come from the mouse sensor. If really happen so, send for RMA asap is better choice. At least send back to the seller let them check for you.

Update: downloaded the driver from the web... same only from the one on the CD but proceded to install anyway... my Ikari seems faster a bit so I'm satisfied with the improvement smile.gif
*
I think ikari optical need the cd much more than Ikari laser.

Ikari laser can do the cpi toggling just on the mouse and save it on onboard memory. I not really using the software for the dpi adjustment.
On other hand, ikari optical much more need it.

any xai users here?
read from the internet that the xai has several problems such as :
-causing slow pc boot time
-button 4 and 5 doesnt work right in windows
-not do good glides

are these problems common or just the minority?
*
From where you know this, don't think any 1 in ss thread know this.
Button 4, 5 not working?? Never heard this complain before as well.
It should be teflon feet like Ikari laser, skate nicely on most of the mouse mat.

frankly speaking the kinzu looks very simple and yet very class.
feel like getting 1. instead of getting imperator. or maybe a xai.
waiting for next month cash injection.tongue.gif

offtopic : woot. lil kiasu like nicole jung too ya. biggrin.gif
*
Agreed, just got my Kinzu few weeks ago.
Owning a Kinzu and a Ikari laser right now, will get Xai in the future as well (maybe after sell away my DA)

no mang. me take photo from google. me is inspired. cash injection from next month is kinda handy. planning to spend it on BW / imperator / xai.
if i get the 7g then no place for me to put the armrest. since my table is kinda messy and not wide enough for the armrest. even if it fits. i might not get to utilize it since my table is kinda high. i wont consider the 6gv2 over 7g coz i need the audio and mic jack badly. so as for now my choice is the BW ultimate.
*
Smart consumer, if no place for the big wrist support, better go for BW ultimate.
Almost same price with 6Gv2 but with extra feature.

After all, do you need to try it out before you get it? They 2 different switches which will give 2 totally different type of typing experience.
