QUOTE(pluginbaby @ Aug 7 2010, 07:10 PM) thanks for the info, i will try it once i flashed to neo's nextsense rom.. im stiill on neophyte 1.4a which is based on frf91, havent tried rom based on official OTA since ive just finished my final exam yesterday.. yippe! I didnt try LeeDroid yet, but NextSense is awesome IMO, best custom ROM that are the closest to the official(i said custom cuz it still got some of the Neo's tweaks). Might try LeeDroid, but i dont know why i might stay with NexTSense for a longer period. For the first the I am completely satisfied after flashing a ROM. guys, nextsense 4.0 and leedroid mod 1.8 .. which one u guys prefer? do drop some thoughts.. i really wanna see ur personal opinions since quite a number of people rooted and already flashed custom roms now LeeDroid looks cool(it is still in my SD card alongside the NextSense ROM when i still undecided), but i found it to have more bugs than NexTSense after reading its threads, but more fixes too! which makes it one of the best cuz it is constantly updated. QUOTE(- JaY - @ Aug 7 2010, 07:24 PM) seems like Maxis changed their HTC Desire specs in their website.. its stated using S-LCD.. duno which 1 to get man.. S-LCD or AMOLED AMOLED ftw. dont ask me why cuz i dont know~~ |

QUOTE(samurai1337 @ Aug 7 2010, 09:17 PM) Good analysis LOL Yeah i agree with you about Neo but his ROM seems to be less trouble even on first release. Anyway, both devs are good and reliable IMO. The fact that they keep updating their ROM is the best thing. I rather have a buggy ROM with a dev updating with fixes, rather than a one time ROM dev.Neophyte seems to be impatient sometimes when handling XDA forumers (and at times hard to understand his english), but nevertheless I think his ROM is really polished and not much trouble - he's fast in fixing issues too. Not sure if the underclocked thing really works but I just assume it would for now (since it doesn't feel that slow anyway) I tried LeeDroid 1.7 once and had market problem causing handset reboot (means I couldn't do anything else) then gave up. It's prolly fixed already in 1.8 though @pluginbaby - why dont you try LeeDroid 1.8 since me and Samurai1337 are using NexTSense already. then you can share with us. |

QUOTE(triplexpresso @ Aug 8 2010, 08:47 AM) If you're on Modaco's Custom or Leedroid's ROM, they have this thing called "Rosie" which allows you to click-drag homescreen rearrange when pinch-zoomed out. Not sure if you could install Rosie on other Roms though.. So must have an app? cannot be done by default eh? |

QUOTE(samurai1337 @ Aug 9 2010, 07:34 AM) I find the battery life slightly improved (not more than 20%), without visible impact on performance (unless you want to run Quadrant test - which I get 1060 max for battery save ROM and 1360 max for normal version). I think battery somehow sustains better when you are in standby mode (drop only around 1-2% per hours if you leave it standby without using) Just flashed to 4.0 yesterday without wipe. First time use, battery was awesome but 0% battery decrease in 1 hour, and using camera, internet, calls and messages can still last me up to 10 hours with 50% left. but then last night i charged, its full, then i unplugged it, left it for an hour(i went to sleep), and back with 90%....lolz 10% in 1 hour in sleep mode without any use? thats a huge difference from the first time i use 4.0.LuffyPSP (and other XDA forumers) seemed to claim that 4.0 drains much faster than 3.4, but I can't tell the difference since I only used 3.4 for half a day If you want an everyday phone, you can stay on with the stock version and it is still a desirable phone to use! It's probably not as cool as an iPhone, but going forward you get more free apps, and it's more customizable. And sometimes it's good to be low profile Read the first post if you want to know more information, and welcome to the Android world! If ROM Manager doesn't work, do the manual way (rebooting to Clockwork Mod and flash the zip) then. I find ROM Manager rather buggy and avoid using it for the time being Still testing. but hey i love the nexus bootscreen and its fast too! will report back with battery life for my 2nd day with 4.0. |

QUOTE(DecaPix @ Aug 9 2010, 01:38 PM) @samurai, do report on ver5.0 with older radio I tried installing some applications n it decreased from 133 to 130...just downloaded ver4.0 this morning and now got 5.0 going to be a ROM junkie or ROM collector now! @KTCY, the A2SD+ will be all on SD. think almost none on phone Added on August 9, 2010, 1:39 pm@Luffy, the phone cant actually tell there's ext partition on the SD that's why it says installed in phone but actually is on ext partition see the phone internal memory still at 130 Mb |

QUOTE(samurai1337 @ Aug 9 2010, 02:44 PM) Will do... running the nextsense 5.0 batt save version now (the lockscreen is back to the one in 4.0) the Quadrant score is 1060 (as opposed to 1360 for normal version) - hopefully it gives me some battery juice enough for two days I've done some big apps installation and now I left with 115 HP memory. Quite good I think. Tho I hope it'll stay at 133 mb. How do I check how much the ext partition left? N which one is installed fully to phone?A2SD+ still uses a bit of phone memory I think, but not much And trust me, you wouldn't need >100 applications at a time Added on August 9, 2010, 2:45 pm Nah, it's easier than you thought I also flashed AmonRA recovery using Unrevoked... just an extra step |
