yes. solo the brutalisk with jimmy. jimmy has 500 health. run. gun. grenade if you manage. basically each time jimmy stops, the brutalisk should not hit him more than once.

by the time he's done, he should be barely alive. tongue.gif yes. leave him alone. marines and medic can go back to some secluded place. you can bring medic along but I'd rather not risk it.

my placement on green is that Jimmy is at a safe distance from brutalisk's 11 o'clock or so. after release, just run around towards the other end of the lab.

Yes air unit is easy for normal, but when i try brutal then it was crazy, they come from all direction and hardly defend (i use the cloaked ghost keep sniper broodlord like how people do in youtube but i barely survive until last wave at 99.7% recharge and overrun by them) So i restart and take out air unit and try again, using siege tank defend + banshee kill nydus worm and manage to win in 1 try. rclxms.gif Finally completed all brutal..
i try that in hard mode also susah liao. well. maybe my lousy choice of technology upgrade on my 1st campaign run (playing hard mode. cacat. many things fail to achieve. choose some less useful upgrades also)

furthest i got was 98.9% sad.gif

Agreed. One of the hardest achievements. That stupid Tychus deserved his death at the end of the campaign.

Will need to have Science Vessel research prior to this mission. I used 4 Science Vessels + 7 SCVs to keep Odin above 30% all the time.

BTW, nice idea of building structures around him to prevent him from moving. Definitely going to try this later!

eh the 30% only hard mode required. you mean brutal mode got achievement some more?

oh. why need so many la? smile.gif i only have 3 SCV i think. can't remember got science vessel. one thing for sure i got quite some siege tanks and marines accompanying it. and also vikings and banshees.

when he's resting, you can put your other units in front, or at least you save game when he's resting.

from my experience, the toughest part is the 2nd last part where all the starport is. i lost a lot of units there. the final push not that bad la, spam marine and a few siege tank. got a few BC there.

i done that hard mode challenge without any BC.

ehh no leh i don't use BC. biggrin.gif see, even Ray also use same way.

remember that Banshee has damn nice DPS, good for clearing siege tanks and such. and you can cloak too! after all sensors removed, it's all free whacking.

clear off the siege tanks cos they do damage most to your Thor and also the SCV around it. have about 4 - 5 vikings around is good.

banshees can't hit air units la. enemy also have vikings and banshees ya know. and you'll best help take down the BC cos Odin takes time to destory the BC.

SCV sometimes a bit stupid la. after repairing Odin also they run go repair other things. tongue.gif into line of fire.

SV on the other hand, it less at risk cos it's in the air and bring a few so it also heals your other units.......... including SCV.

that mission i didn't want to head on combat la. so i take time to irridiate. lost a few SV in the process though. was fun to see it die without me using any ammo.

i won 3 out of 5 games also go into bronze ler. sad.gif

btw just won the All In using Hard Mode. with proper upgrades and such, not as hard as it was. Last time I had problem on Hard Mode was because

1. a few not so useful tech i took
2. didn't play zeratul missions, missed out some tech. tongue.gif

now i play again but with Nydus, suddenly it's not so difficult. barely lose anything with only just about 5 siege tanks a side. biggrin.gif

Added on August 28, 2010, 3:15 amoh btw, didn't complete the Hard Mode achievement yet but completed that "Hurry Up: It’s Raid Night" and "Out for Justice" achievements. 10 more points to 2k mark.

wah you guys attack both places at once? smile.gif i attack 1 by 1 also can make it la.

a lot of people make the mistake by whacking everything until the Odin is KO. that's not the way.

what I did was Odin carefully hit banshee and other production structure on the top base. then the base right beneath it. Keep odin alive.

once the ambush is over, pair the Odin with Thor, throw along 3 - 4 SCV and you can go the upper base already. during this time, build some marine and siege tanks.

call in some viking support, 5 will do. the base at the bottom will have battlecruiser coming.

so ok finish the 1st base on the top. use Thor to sit there and Odin to hit everything else.

Now meet with your next squad at the bottom base. before go up the ramp, you can have siege tanks in siege mode. most up slowly and clear off most things, and place siege tanks before starting the upload.

incoming shouldn't be too tough.

after done, just move all your forces to the top. clear them with siege tank and thor bombardment. after that, it's all good. 100% is done quite fast also. biggrin.gif

tongue.gif looks like i'm one of the rare people to do it 1 by 1. i find it better this way. cos all forces converge.

now In Utter Darkness, i just need to finish it in Hard Mode. tongue.gif
