TS(kianweic): if you're dedicated in updating the first post with solutions/links/sources etc on common problems, i would highly suggest that mods sticky/pin up this thread so they may refer here for technical Q&As/troubleshooting. Which would also ease up the FAQ thread on fuj's burden

QUOTE(aLertz @ Aug 5 2010, 05:18 PM) well, there's 1 problem when u accidentally press the window button or alt+tab out then back to SCII... my screen will be black for a few seconds (depending on the display tat time, if huge army or battling then will take longer) then oni came back the SCII display... so maybe when it hang or blackout...try wait a while... when i face tat black screen...i also tried open task manager n close it a few times due to impatient seems like a GPU resource eater Added on August 5, 2010, 5:18 pmps: i've already set the cap you may lock ur windows/alt tab functions via sc2 options and yes, it does rape gpu. my gpu load is between 50-80% during sc2. no other games managed to push it that far ever lol. hence my need for a cooler and i've finally got that settled and am very satisfied with it.

QUOTE(TianJian @ Aug 28 2010, 12:07 PM) did any1 experience before when u alt tab it will take 2-3 min go back sc2 , and some times when i play with ai , it will move - stop - move - stop at the graphic , but the frame rate is 70-80+ how much RAM you have and what is your current available memory when you're alt tabbing? most of this issue is due to page file clearing and reacaching while alt tabbing in/out of windows/sc2

QUOTE(tatyinw @ Sep 27 2010, 01:30 AM) Yea. I suspect the same thing as Quazacolt. Chances are your graphic card is overheating. Casing air flow problem? You have any software to check your card temperature? Patch caused it? Think you may have to reinstall at this rate. Yea... I can't login to the sea.battle.net too. to add in to this post, before reinstalling sc2, try doing repair.exe via: C:\Program Files\StarCraft II\Support\repair.exe (depend on your installation directory/drive) =edit= forgot to add this: do note before doing repair.exe, please be connected to the internet, and make sure your connection is stable (and preferably port forwarded) for patch/files download This post has been edited by Quazacolt: Sep 27 2010, 09:11 AM

QUOTE(mollymurder @ Sep 27 2010, 09:44 AM) i try out the msi afterburner..my GC heat is always at 60+ whenever im playing sc2..how much is normal? i cant play league coz sked of dc T__T been 2 months le,it will shutdown by itself and then i turn it on and play again..i sked 1 day it will come to the point where my pc mati..omg sei lo 60+ celcius shouldnt over heat. i mean, most nvidia cards can withstand 70-90+ without problems. and 100+ is the thermal shutdown for card protection check if your drivers are updated, and you may want to check PROCESSOR temperature now instead, or motherboard temperature

QUOTE(loldog @ Dec 26 2010, 06:13 PM) hi guys , i just installed sc2 on my desktop not too long ago and when i attempt to start up sc2 i get the message "input not supported" floating around in my monitor. If it helps, my gc is a nvidia9600gt and my monitor is an acer p205h . check your DVI/VGA/HDMI settings/input and also your resolution. if your resolution you chosen for SC2 isnt supported by the monitor, it wont display as well (eg: you chosen 1920x1080 but the monitor only supports up to 1680x1050 for example)
