YES is rubbish when it comes to their customer support. =\
*
if u mean their call center agent, yeah i agree. not all of them is capable of handling customers issues. they just sit there and follow instructions by their team leader even to tell customers like "system is under maintenance" when it is not...just to call and get through,u guys know how long u need to wait right? wasting our money. yet need to answer this and that b4 can talk to human...it is not fair what...they should do the questionnaire after we talk to them la rite...like what other telcos do,after we talk to them then they will ask us for ratings...not b4.... doh.gif whistling.gif

Does this happen to all device? Does YES already agreed for replacement? or you just arranging to collect the info before storming YES store..

If the device mostly defective YES should do the recall and replacing the device.
*
for Dongle, what i can say when i still working as their staff, seems to be most of the Dongle need to be RMA.everyday can see cust come for this Dongle problem. i've all info needed for this claims. already have a session with their tech support at facebook.

been using yes for about 2 weeks across klang valley and penang. it's good so far. there are some places where signal is weak, but at least you know that it's weak. haven't faced the same dropouts that I have seen with celcom and maxis (despite having a strong signal).

for my case, the dongle starting to give me problem on 2nd month...

Added on August 16, 2011, 7:02 pmi've already got replacement for my Go Dongle.

What should I tell them? I already visited them and they ask me go to Acer center. They say my dongle is special because it's a "free" modem.  doh.gif
When I go Acer, they say any problem about Yes should go Lot 10, not Acer as they only deal with computer problems.

I commented on their facebook (I think I saw you DinWaja) but well they keep prolonging my case, asking me who's my dealer, where's my dealer, name of dealer  rclxub.gif
What it got to do with a piece of Dongle that's not working?

What is it that makes you say they aren't 4G?

Before December 2010, I would have agreed with you.

mobile wimax is only near-4G or pre-4G only. in short,to advertise their products as full fledged 4G, do u think it is honest enough? so not fair.

What makes you say that? Because I happened to bring up the ITU who sets the standards?

I, for one, was VERY much against YTL/P1 using the "4G" term before December because it simply didn't meet the ITU standards. Now that the ITU has included WiMAX/LTE in their IMT Advanced standards I can have no complaints.

On the other hand, you seem very much against their usage of the term "4G" despite them now complying with the new standards set. Don't like YTL for reasons other than what you claim maybe?

Note: I am DEFINITELY not from YTL.
*
oic...then let see when their 4G gonna be stable...sometimes even at Lot 10,the connection can drop until 0.XXmbps...

Nah, fxxk them. Just went there and they persistently said should get it replaced at Acer. Called customer support they mentioned Yes store. Don't know who is who, getting customer advocate to reconcile with their stores. This is the 3rd time I've been to Lot 10 to solve this issue.

Amazing things do not happen when you say Yesmad.gif

So what is the cheapest package for a newbie to start with? This is without any contract rite? because I am stay at condo 10 floor, want to test the signal strength first, then only decide to continue using or not.

If I buy the Go Starter pack, rm100 it comes with the Go dongle, after I satisfy then I buy the rm68 value pack and use back the same GO dongle, is that work?

Or the rm68 valuepack comes with a dongle also?
*
valuepack is an add-on package so it won't come with the starter pack. only Rm50 preload+Yes ID+dongle come with it,unless there are any promo at the time of purchased...

Warning to All those who got their YES go from ACER. YES told me that if you purchased any valuepack before the 30 days are up, your balance WILL NOT be carry forward. Fantastic right?  mad.gif I'm the one who kena lah  vmad.gif
*
dude, any valuepack (68 or 150) will overtake ur current plan (PAYU)... VP is the priority. anyway, that YES credit come with ur pkg is FREE...so no point in arguing. let say u purchased VP68 today....and u finish it in 2 weeks then u repurchased again,so the validity date will start counting on ur latest purchased. that is how their system works. yeah, as customer, we feel this is not good....

Added on October 7, 2011, 7:08 pmp/s : ANY BALANCE FROM FREE CREDITS OR REBATES WILL NOT BE CARRY FORWARD.IT WILL BURN. USE IT UP.

I don't think it is not good or not.
Already used up the quota given/boought, no complaint about it.

As Yes counted/charged based on used bandwidth, not monthly charges all the while.
You buy the quota not validity period.

Validity period is to ensure users consume it, same with the intention of RM30 min charges.

I am ok with VP, that the remaining unused quota can be accumulated when renewing the VP.

But still hope, they can give better offer with RM68, like for 5GB.
*
dude,i mean the VALIDITY DATE and the EXPIRY DATE la...not the balance... if they can start counting the date from the existing expiry date, then it is better la....do ask me what i mean b4 u pinpoint anything. i was their staff b4, so i know what i'm talking about...

QUOTE(9M-MAS @ Nov 4 2011, 11:32 AM)
That's for the call, and I know that. But the call itself uses bandwidth....hence the question, since YES phone is VOIP, no? Let me rephrase my question: If I am on YES connection, and I make a call, will the data counter move, on top of being charged 9 sen a minute?
*
back when i was their staff...the answer is this...

"the system will automatically recognized ur call as VOIP call...the system will charge u according to minutes...so ur data will not move.let say u subscribe for VP150, the system will deduct ur minutes from ur free calls...ur data will not be touch."

so if u r on PAYU...u'll see ur credits or rebates deducted. i do understand ur earlier question.

Added on November 4, 2011, 12:28 pmdun forget...YES charge u 9sen for 3MB @ 1 minutes call @ 1 SMS....
