When will YES include Monash University under its education program ??? I have been a heavy user of YES who spends like RM100+ a month.. Though the 300MB is nt much, but i see this as a form of additional reward which would encourage me to use more..

yeah im also waiting for that

just a piece of info.the valuepacks wont be activated automatically! so dont simply stream any youtube videos otherwise your credit will flow like an open water pipe. it will activate within 2-24 hours of your purchase in YES system

I have a question here:

My billing cycle is on 19th of each month (data usage reset on 11.59PM 18th every month). Signed up for Valuepack 68 on 18 March and got it activated few hours later, expiring on 17 April.. They mention that the minimum usage of RM30 not applicable during the validity of the valuepack.

Do I still need to use RM30 by 18 April then? Or it's covered by the valuepack validity? Their CS is not so helpful, trying to avoid my questions by cut-and-paste those package details only. == Anyone here can help? Thanks...
*
only if you dont decide to continue to valuepack then the RM$30 min usage will apply.if you continue valuepack its covered. This is what i understand though

thinking of signing up this package, but the problem is, how is the maximum speed can the modem go to? I mean the RM99 huddle package, tested in KL sentral there can get 5MB download 1MB upload.

Only afraid when take back home the nightmare begins...

Please advise on this, thanks
*
depend on how strong is your signal and if you are staying in high rise place.modem can go up to 30mbps but there is no way to achieve that most people get 4-5 mbps i assume. rm$99 is go huddle is rm$399
oh by the way im staying in a high rise place and my signal is 1-2bar only and sometimes can lose the signal but it will reconnect itself

GUys,I'm planning to get YES 4G and I know my data quota is less than 3GB every month. Is it a good choice ?
*
you mean you use less than 3GB per month?
if that is the case
using 9sen/3mb = if use 2.5GB get $9 rebate
or for better value get Valuepack at $68 for 3.5GB data + 150min of calls + SMS
looking at the $68 that YES offers and comparing with other providers Celcom Digi Maxis.I must say YES is the best in terms of speed, but that depends on your location
for me who uses around 3.5GB/month, its a good choice.for the price I pay I get good speed

Yup,previously I was on DiGI 10GB quota with RM 108 per month and I found out that I was too busy to fully utilise the 10GB and I always notice I use up to 2.4GB++ only so I terminated it.
I think RM 30 per month will be suitable for me and I don't think I need a 150 mins of call and sms laugh.gif
Then I think RM 30 is more than enough for me.
I was thinking,if I wanna go subscribe now,I have to pay RM 99 for the 4g dongle and RM 50 activation fee so total will be RM 149 right? Do I need to reload RM 30 so I can use it ?
*
but RM$30 is only like 1GB!are you sure its sufficient?
you reload when you need to use or out of credit
and bear in mind that YES had a Min Usage Policy of RM30/month e.g. use only RM$20 but end of month they will still deduct $30 (which means they will deduct extra $10)

Doesn't the left over RM10 rollover to the next month?

If the RM30 is not fully used, can the left over committed bandwidth be brought forward to next month?
ie:
Month-Pay-Used
Jan-$30-used $10
Feb-$30-used $15
Mar-$30-used $65
Apr-$30-used $30
*
ok let me give an example Credit Balance $50 Rebate $10 (before usage)
after usage of $25
it should look like this
Credit $$35 Rebate 0
however due to YES min usage policy it will be
Credit $30
and so the $30 left after deducting any adjustment for min usage will rollover
but Im sure most can hit the min usage threshold

So wats the avg speed like? at least u can tell it varies from Xmb to Ymb rite?

and does the device affect the speed?
*
well in my area 1mbps -4mbps. at least 1 mbps i guess up til 15 or 18 mbps (of course 15-18 mbps is not achievable unless there are less users inthe area and the signal is really strong
