QUOTE(PonG @ Jul 30 2010, 09:32 AM) Yeah, still under warranty. bought over from jimmy last few month. do send it in since its under warranty, they wont charge you a single centYesterday try to do wireless flash but fail, after checking detected internal flash was fail also. Maybe sensor or bulb. Added on July 30, 2010, 10:06 am QUOTE(mastering89 @ Jul 30 2010, 09:57 AM) for pop-up flash the maximum sync is 1/160s (a700 im not sure, a850 and a900 no pup up). A700 can go 1/8000sfor external flashes , the normal flash sync (in bounce mode) is 1/160 . for a700 and above is 1/250s (1/200s if SSS is on). for High Speed Sync (HSS / non bounce mode), the flash can sync up to 1/4000s (not sure for a850/a900 can sync up to 1/8000s or not) do take not that 3rd party flash some of them dont have HSS (iinm was sunpak or cybertik). QUOTE(8tvt @ Jul 30 2010, 10:02 AM) what kind of explanation you're looking for 1st?This post has been edited by lwliam: Jul 30 2010, 10:06 AM |

the other solution to that is that prior to going to the SC, i listed everything i wanted to fix onto a paper, the counter person only had to copy everything into the service sheet, and your piece of paper is attached together with your gear inside the plastic bag, so the engineer will have a 1st hand information directly to them. no misinterpretation.. but of coz, you had to make your point clear and direct. and use proper grammar..

QUOTE(8tvt @ Jul 30 2010, 10:42 AM) ok tq.. purpose of slow sync is to reduce shutter speed so that sensor can capture more ambient light. this can be achieved with using fully manual or aperture priority settings, which what i use the most. it also depends on how fast is your subject moving, slow it is alright, else, use the rear-curtain sync function. a flash is a whole new chapter in photography. its hard to explain and to imagine without having hands on with a flash unit with you. since using external flash would depends on the body.. i would like to see the available setting if fitted.. flash like F42 or F58 on A380.. not much info though.. i only can play with built-in flash.. what i notice the slowsync is actually like fill-in flash.. which automatically slowed down the shutter speed.. if i manipulate it using fill flash and M/S mode with slow shutter.. the result is the same.. using slow shutter is nice.. the flash not so harsh.. but cannot freeze the movement.. if external flash can help to produce the better IQ.. and can blend the pic well.. i would like to get one.. using fill flash setting doesnt necessary slows down the shutter speed. its purpose is what its name states, to give fill flash, irregardless of the background ambient. |

mastering89, external flash DO helps a bit in IQ, coz you can stop down your lens to the sweet spot.. around f/5.6-f/8.. thus getting much sharper images than using it wide open...
wireless flash handheld on camera left... u can nearly see the wrinkle spots on the forehead (not so good for portraiture) ![]() This post has been edited by lwliam: Jul 30 2010, 11:03 AM |

QUOTE(zstan @ Jul 30 2010, 11:46 AM) ohhhh...can buy also one..no harm where got senget? the beach is obviously/should be higher than sea level. i feel the color is a bit too saturated. your masking is flawed... the trees on the far right has colored halos from your over saturationerm...the sea colour quite nice..horizon senget..if u got time u should try to clone out all those rubbish on the sand This post has been edited by lwliam: Jul 30 2010, 11:51 AM |

QUOTE(zstan @ Jul 30 2010, 11:58 AM) hmm it were me i'd rotate the picture 1 more degree clockwise la. personal preference. look at the sea level, sea is ALWAYS level with the horizon however you look at it... land horizon is often skewed.. didn't say its wrong also nono..must sound pro a bit.. i go pc fair to shoot portraiture.. as for the pic, the sea level is horizontal enough. zero degrees.. perfect horizon... good job ahpingko » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « This post has been edited by lwliam: Jul 30 2010, 12:13 PM |
