whereas I can see some of you are getting more than what you subscribe for, is there any "secret" or some kind of tweaking here?
Mind to share? Appreciate PM, tqvm!! nod.gif

There is no secret, it's just TM messing up the system.
I am on VIP20 and ever since they started upgrading their network/system or whatever (according to their tech support who came to my house) I've been getting about double the speed that I'm supposed to get.

i wanna ask, my fren using tp-link adaptor but cant connect the tmnet router. What i saw is, the adaptor can detect the router, but when press connect, keyed in the key, then the adaptor cannot detect the router, keep on repeating the same thing, also no use. tried reinstalled driver, restart router, restart modem also cant.. pc also restarted.

@cannavaro

fluctuating to around 100 KB/s for MU, but not constant either. This is a supposedly 20mbit line.

@djhenry91

they called twice to advertise and still screwed everything up. Maybe you're better off without their calls?

I was surfing at the same time. Wanna see a longer capture, with idle connection?

Hey guys,

I've been using Unifi 20mbit for about a week now and am very unhappy with the crappy quality. The IPTV is also unwatchable. I'm definitely not paying for this crap.

What's the process to switch to 5mbit? (is there any lower package? I can't even get 5mbit with my supposed 20mbit package currently)

Thanks
*
You can't downgrade without a penalty.
Please post your speedtest from the following site:

^unwatchable meaning constant blur / lines / etc. It was already like that when they fixed it. In fact, they changed the STB already. No difference.

They did speedtest with their laptop(s) connected via Ethernet and couldn't get good speeds either. Said there was some 'maintenance' going on....

Speedtest results :

IP range : 110.159.*

Down: 1512 kbps
(189 KB/sec)
Up: 2878 kbps
(359.8 KB/sec)

They told me I could downgrade... Hmm I have to pay extra now?
*
That's EXTREMELY bad for VIP20. How long has this been going on? I think you may be able to downgrade without a penalty if they can't fix your connection.
Did they check the fibre optic cable running from outside? Could be bended or something... where do you live btw?
I am still extremely happy with my connection, and I would still recommend people to get unifi.

The last time they told me they had this 'maintenance' going on my speed was double the above. laugh.gif
Free boost ended early this week though.. wink.gif

TTDI. There's loads of Unifi posters near my place advertising 'high speed broadband'  rolleyes.gif

@Yoda

Using Unifi 20mbit for less than 2 weeks. Everything is new. Never gotten 20mbit speeds before. Even the TM people who checked the fiber cable and tested with their own laptops (both wired & wireless connections) don't know what to say anymore, just the usual 'wait' and 'problem with the port' crap.
*
So close to the exchange yet so problematic... sweat.gif
Did they check the cable all the way from the fibre distribution point to the fibre termination point at your house? This would take a long time if your installation is underground based.

done. seems like the problem is fixed by 'refreshing' my connection from their end.
the CS didn't say that youtube is throttled. some 1080p vids can't be streamed smoothly.
I got 19Mbps from the following video at 1080p though:

u mean ask them refresh the connection ?
*
Nope I didn't, I was pestering the guy whether youtube is being throttled, he didn't confirm nor deny. He asked me to try on a different pc and the usual stuffs... Finally he made another check on their system (supposedly), said indeed there is a problem with my connection, and decided to 'refresh' it. Whatever that means.
I was already seeing improvements in streaming speed when I was waiting for him on the line... sweat.gif
Not sure if it's a coincidence or otherwise.
