guess i live in poor town not seriously considered by TM as high-spending area

for the 42mbps speed, dont expect to get at this speed from end-user (unless you are very very near the upgraded-towers that serve 42mbps)


hope they increase to maybe 20GB from now 10GB?

dont want macam ytl yes: 11mbps (average) but at pay-as-you-use rate. you will sure get "credit" shock because faster speed = user more quota quicker = burn more credit fast fast

start compare with "yes" after 3 years of operation: customers increase, bandwidth usage sure increase if ppl excessively use it.

then we'll see how fast "yes" can offer; in terms of handling increase of customers and bandwidth.



am not expecting ub68 to go with higher 42mbps. maybe a bit more, rm88 or rm98 or rm108.

what lack thereof is education of FUP itself.

noobs (newbies) cant even understand what the heck is FUP all about.

no telco really bother to explain the effect of FUP to user or to each broadband plans.

UB68 plan = no charge after exceeding FUP quota. <-- which is why it is called "Unlimited" quota not speed

other plans = PAYU (RM0.01/KB) rate after exceeding quota (no FUP) <-- there will be SMS notifications to alert you when you reach balance 30MB and 0MB. However, maximum cap is RM176 (in case you accidentally over use)

1 time only since their broadband launch in 2009. the change is just the speed throttle changed to 128kbps.

just part of the promo. besides, the advance payments will be offset for 5 months, so you dont actually paying extra.

just a short period of contract. who knows, maybe umobile broadband is good at your area?

unlimited quota = RM68 per month flat. however FUP (fair use policy) applies at about 5GB (some user said only 10GB) which means speed throttled to 128kbps (as reported by users here earlier)

if you got issue with umobile, call their cs to complaint.
