Thanks smile.gif too bad LX5 does not have built in HDR function. I had to snap with auto bracket and combine via photomatix. Btw, time for new thread?

any lx5 owners here using it to record video? in A mode set to 2.0, do you get the lens flare/purple fringing?

anyone know if using a hood would eliminate or reduce this lens flare?

eh, no-la, this was taken in 1Utama, do they have the same decor in Penang as well?

hi guys...need some comments...

planning to get a new camera, but cant really decide which is better (for the price)..

can give some comments of those i shortlisted:
1) Nikon J1
2) Lumix LX5
3) Nikon Coolpix P7100

or can recommend any? just wanna take for casual use, but something better than normal compacts (better night shots)..thanks!

Lol paiseh,i didnt go to the mall yet XD just that d mall layout looks so similar to penang's gurney plaza in d pic lolol!! So memalukan

there are dedicated threads for all the cameras u have short-listed ... take the time to read through them all.

if you dont ... then just buy whatever u feel like buying ...

asking this sort of question in all this respective threads, people will of course be recommending the respective models on thread la ...

really good shots smile.gif i find that LX5 does much better at shooting scenery than portrait, or most probably that's because i have not brushed up my skill yet

I hv dat prob too. What happened was,i forgotten to put my sd card and took two video,then only i put the cards,thw first two items for that card always show that prob. Image cannot be displayed.

shots not taken by me, by my missus ... she mostly point and shoot ... but it turned out quite nice ... so if the auto mode manage to get on the correct mode, the pic is nice ...

i guess this is still a normal manual camera in any sense ... need to know ur settings or else have to rely on auto mode getting u the correct settings ...

my sd card inside the camera all the time. Unless it was due i pressed the Shutter button when turned on camera with cap on. But cannot be right, as it did asked to remove cap and press any button. hmm.gif

I can still use the card,it saves as usual and no other problem,only the image cant be displayed.
