Guild Wars - RM 229. Expected to arrive next week.

(but we might consider staying at RM 229 if it makes you guys happy cool.gif).

oh yes it will.

is it possible for me to preorder the game, and then pick it up myself from the boutique, and make my payment there and then?

hmm sounds fair enough.

do i have to go the software boutique itself, or can i just pick it up at one of the retail partners? i can easily reach klcc, but i don't know where ss2 is.

and why does it still say $249 in my cart?

An alternative would be you banking the money into our account and we send it to you via PosLaju (FOC in Peninsula for purchase above RM 50).

the thing is, there isn't any banks nearby, and if i was gonna go out, might as well go and pick the game up myself, and like i said, it's easier for me to reach klcc since i don't know where the software boutique is.

no i haven't checked yet, though i doubt there'd be any there yet, since well, it just got released like today?

@liquid and shumaky

1st of all, my parents are not to find out that i actually $229 on a computer game. so having it delivered to the doorstep is a big no-no.

2nd, i don't have any means of doing the payment apart from by cash.

yeah, it IS $229.

and i'd appreciate directions from people who're used to the area. which komuter station is the closest to the store location( Jalan SS2/67, 47300 Petaling Jaya,)? is it seri setia or setia jaya?

gonna be a grand day out this thursday, ha.

i went exploring the map, but got tired after collecting all the skills; the map's so frickin huge.

i was lv7 at that time, so yeah, i pwned at the academy. i'm a monk, so people naturally targetted me first, but they couldn't kill me, ha.

the game is just so much fun. level doesn't seem to matter that much at all. i had to keep my fingers busy timing my skills and combos, and yeah, that's the most fun part. i guess people who enjoy blindly clicking and level grinding won't like this game so much.

QUOTE(khelben @ May 7 2005, 01:08 PM)
Yea, the 8-skill-slot-only is giving me headaches, but i'm not complaining, it's kinda tactical and all.
*
on the contrary, i just love it. the 'tactical and all' factor aside, it's what makes the game truly functional and playable.

now imagine if you had 20 skill slots. you will waste precious miliseconds to decide which healing skill to use, which attacking skill to use, which spell to use, which hex to throw at the enemies, and that'd pretty much ruin the fast paced gameplay. besides, this isn't the kind of game where you get 500 MP to spend. small energy gauge, small set of usable skills, it's just brilliant.

anyway if anyone needs a monk to party with, just add La Nuble. my specialty isn't healing atm, but heh, i can change my build anytime i want. though even with my current attributes(only 3 in healing, just enough to have Mending give +2 hp regen), i can keep my henchmen alive pretty well. i'm gonna try a full support build with my henchmen later tonight. bet it's gonna be so much fun.

naw i'm sticking with a buncha friends i got to know from iRose. they're all U.S people though, so they started playing from day -1; yeah, early access preorder people.

most of them are around lv15 right now, so i can't party with them yet, and i'm not the kind who would party up with just any stranger, so i've only been partying with henchmen so far. a buddy of mine just got his key last night, and he'll catch up to me soon enough i hope. another friend from the U.S also started playing last night, so i'll have company soon enough.

word though, the henchmen aren't half bad at all; they know when to heal, when to retreat, when to change target according to priority(eg. mobs raping the healer, etc), and each of them carries a res signet. except for the healer henchman. she has the Restore Life skill.

max level 20?? wah... so fast those ppl maxing it liao ar?? after max level wat else to do ar??

quite a lot.

- you keep getting exp to get more skill points
- you keep looking for NPCs that give new skills
- you keep hunting bosses to capture new skills
- you keep getting exp to get more refund points
- start battling in the pvp guild arena
- finish the story
- wait for expansion pack

when you're bored, you can try out a new build, ha. you also collect skills so you can use with "pvp chars".

like so many people already said, if you just want to grind your level to be the 'leetest', then guild wars isn't for you. go play everquest or ultima online instead. you'll see how insignificant levels are when you start playing.
