Actually those improvements are originally from the VS, however due to poor grounding of your car (Some even rusted or oxidized), the VS doesn't works in optimum state, when grounding added, the whole car's connection harness has been brought up and thus VS works better.

So grounding not only help VS to bring out it's performance, but also will improve the overall current flow of the whole car. It is a worth piece of small investment thumbup.gif

Not necessary to install together with GC, however GC will boost the performance of VS.

Relocate to rear compartment of the car ? If that's the case, the distance is too long, you need to use even thicker and harder cable like welding cable.

Yes HID drawing away high current and your car's stock grounding isn't good enough to support the high current flow thus some sort of ground looping will occur which then causing interferences to signal transmission mediums (e.g. Radio, RCA cable, etc)

Few customers has claimed to get better reception after grounding installation, but it may vary from car to car and from case to case.
