I'm trying to show the moral paradox.

The fresh chicken on the stall, the chopping board, the faint smile of pride from the tired hardworking stall vendor and the live chickens looking at her.

Or the simple version.

We buy our chickens from this stall, I lugged my dslr to the market and I just think it'll make a cool shot

Can see some modern elements there. The fluorescent light is a glaring giveaway. N the price tag gun in the middle left. Hehe. But very nice pic, these uncle shops r surely dying out.

Flurescent light also kenot ker boss? Its been around for since my grandma's time liao but yeah you're right, the plastic bottles and price tag gun are a dead giveaway.

And I just realized your street hawker is wearing a modern polo shirt

Foreign locations are easy as everything looks "interesting".
The difficult part is own neighborhood. Every night also I go out jalan jalan and most of the time, I can't even shoot a single frame

Maybe you can add a caption on what you wanna portray.

If only he was wearing a typical Pagoda shirt, would make it just about perfect. Hehe. Mebe I go check him out again n see if he's wearing a Pagoda shirt next time round. Dunno if I can find the fella again though, I simply jalan jalan that day until dunno where I was oso.

I'm located in Taiwan so the uncle pic is taken in a traditional wet market in Taipei County around midnight.


Probably have to learn to get closer lo

Because most of my pics have relatively large subject and I've been looking at this lately http://www.andreastarreese.com/ .. am trying to incorporate more of the background into the pic (kept the chairs cos its there and the uncle chose the sit on the floor.. he's not homeless people btw ).
