There are a few methods, but most commonly there are 2.

1) Let the built in memory manager handle your processes
2) Use a task killer or under settings / applications, you manually close the program

Those are not active programs those are your recent accessed program.

Everyone should chill out with ending task, our phones have 512 MB of ram, and the android internal memory manager does the job fine.

It normal for continuous 3g connection. I experiance this since Dopod era.

H for HSDPA is actually 3G networks with faster speed than 3G. While E for Edge is actually 2G networks with faster speed than 2G. On the phone, you only can cape it to 2G or auto get the fastest. So you cannot cape to 3G only. When you untick the "Use only 2G networks" in Menu --> Setting --> Wireless and networks --> Mobile networks, the phone will get the fastest network available. If you tick, it will cape at 2G networks which will be either Edge or 2G.

To set tones for incoming messages you have to do that inside the messaging app, be it stock, chomp or handcent.

When I off the internet or APN by using APNonoff..then I on it back..then it can't be online already..then I need to restart my phone then only can online. Anyone faced the same problem with APNonoff application?

create a folder name notifications

put all the sound u want in that folder, then it will appear on the list

to use your own ringtones very easy one.

just create folder Audio in your sd card. then create 2 more folders, Ringtones and Notifications then put the tones that you wanna use for phone ringtones (Ringtones) and sms ringtones (Notifications).

the file will only appear once you remount the sdcard. the easiest way is to connect the usb cable, change the access to memory card then change it back to charge only. the files now should appear.

I take it that you're still on JF4. I had this problem too but it seems to have gone away after flashing with JM2. This is just my observation after using this new fw for a couple of days, I didn't specifically test for this. Others may be more willing to share their experiences.
