Taking MC today but managed to make a few changes on my loops...

SLI fittings changed back to crystal link tube + adapter combo, so that I can use my sound card
SLI bridge is touched up with carbon fiber sticker
D-plug to make connection between res and pump more rigid.
T-block is added at the bottom to ease draining activity.

Nice. I didn't know the last pcie slot can still fit a card. Now that I looked carefully, it seems that's possible!
*
yaya the last PCIEX4 can put a sound card or revodrive
But it's not possible with EK bridge bcoz the FC link will block part of the card.
that's why i change back to bits crystal tube.

QUOTE(Dennos @ Sep 11 2011, 10:36 PM)
a)  res > pump > CPU >radiator >res
b) res > pump > radiator > cpu > res
which one is better? after sketching, i think b) give better tubing distribution.
any input?
*
tubing length depends on where u put the parts.
performance wise, it's the same

QUOTE(AlamakLor @ Sep 11 2011, 11:22 PM)
Nah it's not exactly the same. B would be "slightly" better. This whole water reaching equilibrium thing has been misunderstood. The water will hit equilibrium in due time, but there will still be hot and cold spots in the loop. B is better since pump's heat would be reduced before hitting the CPU. Since it also gives you better tubing route, it's a no brainer not to go with B.

Added on September 11, 2011, 11:23 pmOh there's still one issue with putting a card on the last slot, you pretty much have to drain the whole system to remove that card if anything goes wrong. sad.gif
*
slightly = 0.5C biggrin.gif
The only time it is not an equilibrium thing is when u hv the worst flow in the world.
I don't hv problem removing my sound card since the PCIEx4 slot is small, short and without lock. There's still a clearance between the sound card & the compression fitting/stopper.

In the picture it looks really tight, you sure there's enough clearance to remove it? If that's confirmed, I'd find ways to make use of the slot biggrin.gif
*
yes it is doable but too tight it will scratch my sound card lol. sweat.gif

btw, wanna share a very fantastic modded TJ11 from overseas wub.gif

Technofront Raven is the only test bench available locally.
i wouldn't comment on the price as it is "made in Italy" (for Italian) tongue.gif

Dismatech Easy/Hard etc and Microcool Benchetto can be imported from overseas.

But expect shipping fee to cost a bomb. I told myself not to think too much about shipping cost but take it as the total price of a case. And there comes my LD. smile.gif

actually Caselabsis superior in custom case; just that all of them are cubic which is not my cup of tea.

that day I blown the dust out of my rad by mouth. biggrin.gif
the dust blower suggested by AlamakLor should do the job quite well.

QUOTE(AlamakLor @ Sep 16 2011, 06:44 PM)
Nah, XSPC H2 is a full aluminum tower, not made of steel. Consider it a Lian Li WC tower. However my experience with Lian Li/Aluminium is that it's extremely hard to avoid finger print, and also grease from permanently stuck on the casing. It's also rather noisy due to the very light weight. Everything seems to resonate the casing.
Thanks! 6990 in the works (or maybe 7 series equivalent if I wait a little longer) brows.gif I need a new power supply. I may be bringing in some killer sh1t that's not available in Msia brows.gif
*
alamak 6990 is so gooding... ur HX580 should be able to handle that card.
or just grab that beasty AX1200, i got one extra sealed brand new of this but still thinking whether to keep it for 2nd rig or resell. hmm.gif

from where u get it? i need another 12pcs for pull setup. XSPC abit mean in giving screws. 12pc only from the box.
*
XPSC RX rad uses UNC 6-32 31.75mm screws
Most rad manufacturers will provide ngam2 qty of screws just one side of rad

QUOTE(AlamakLor @ Sep 16 2011, 07:00 PM)
Nah 6990 (450W) + 69x0 (300W) + 69x0 (300W) + Oced CPU (1x0W) = Dissaster waiting to happen on load. I'm even selling my UPS to get a 1500VA UPS because my APC Powerchute keep popping up with a notification telling me that my rig is drawing more power than the battery can provide on a shortage.

I don't want Corsair PSU anymore, there's something better out there brows.gif
*
WT... quad CF! drool.gif make sure u got enuf rail Ampere for that 6990.
Never seen a single rail 1500W PSU so far. I think dual rail is the only choice to go

1500W/2 = 750W per rail
1st rail = 6990 (450W) + 2600K 4C/8T @ 5.0GHz (130W) = 580W
2nd rail = 6950 (300W) + 6950 (300W) = 600W

pump, fans, other peripherals etc...

Dennos u are supposed to get a replacement rad from ur seller; but not advice from XSPC. u're not going to send this heavy rad to overseas for that.

not to discourage u bro,y dont u buy kaka's radiator and add to ur loop(or borrow tongue.gif ) and see whether the investment is worth it...

if i had compression fittings(easier to pull the tubing out of a wc parts), i might show the effect of adding another rad(using 2 rite now, just because i can is my excuse tongue.gif )
