Carmen,
Dit you do the fax configurations right? Anyway this was what worked for me... Start-->Settins-->Connections--> My ISP -> Manage Existing Connections -Click General Enter a name for these settings:MAXIS GPRS Select A Modem: Cellular Line(GPRS) -click NEXT USER NAME: maxis Password: wap Domain: -click Advance -click TCP/IP Select 'use server-assigned IP address [uncheck the box] use slip [check the box] Use software compression [check the box] Use IP header compression -click servers select 'use server-assigned address' -click OK -click FINISH These steps worked for me. Try it again and if it does not work, give MAXIS a call.... |

Sorry to barge in, but I'm a palm user (treonauts to be precise), and somewhat looking to migrate into WindowsMobile - getting an O2 that is..
For those who had experience in PalmOS or familiar with it, is it worthwhile for me to switch over? How about the multitasking capabilities of the O2? |

QUOTE(julchin_09 @ Dec 16 2005, 05:53 PM) Carmen, Thanks, julchin_09. I just did my very first hard reset today. After that, surprisingly the auto configuration is working. I can finally start using GPRS & MMS. Hooray!! Dit you do the fax configurations right? Anyway this was what worked for me... QUOTE(BehKia @ Dec 19 2005, 12:46 AM) just got myself an 02 mini. hangs quite often when i open big music files. 1. yes, you can. I suggest you dont use the registry tweaking to enable your MP3 from the storage card. It is not reliable. Just copy your MP3 to your device, under Windows folder, then look for Rings folder & paste it there.some questions. 1) can i use mp3 as my ringtone? 2) how do i do a touchscreen phone lock cos i put into my pcoket and the stuff in my pocket might touch the screen. and 3) can i use other ringtones for text message notification instead of those set for it? how do i load in ringtones for sms notifications? pls help. tks 2. i set it to off if left unuse for 1 min, or else i just press the power on/off button 3. yes, you can but only .wav file can be used for text message notification. i put my .wav file in the device, not storage card. (No need to go to Windows folder, then Rings folder) Sorry for lousy explanation. If you dont understand, pls ask some experts here. |

QUOTE(ioriamd @ Dec 19 2005, 11:21 AM) hi noob here, Install Microsoft Outlook , then you install Active Sync (maybe wrong spelling) in your PC. Then plug in usb cabel from PPC to PC, then just follow instructions to get connected. By the way you can get those two software from the CD that come along with the PPC. I just did it last night... how can i connect my O2 mini to PC? got any software? where to get it? surf alreadi.. but not found i don't have any infra red, blue tooth or whatsoever.... (coz just borrow this O2 hehe) |

QUOTE(Carmen @ Dec 19 2005, 12:26 PM) u can go to settings>password from there u can set 'prompt if device unused for' set the duration; meaning if ur mini unused for a certain duration of time, it will prompt u to key in p/w when u activate ur mini.
