Old ROM cannot use mp3 as ringtone u have to use a patch for it
... or just convert it to wma ... lesser space used .....

Correction...some O2 MInis can use MP3 as ringtone in the old ROM. Some cannot which baffles me. Put them in Rings folder and see which group u belong to...the ones that can...or the ones that cannot....

Damn sad. I broke my Mini's CAPDASE Bi-Fold leather casing. Now I will have to resort to my old Silicone one....

Battery life for me would be about 1 day If im constantly using the MP3 function with earphones and brightness setting let to lowest.

if sms o calling ? i asked the PDA shop, they told me jz stand for 3-4hours...hw come ?

yeah, cos then your LCD will be contantly on and your receiving and transmitting signals. User power saving methods and your device should last you 8 hours...

i using the new rom.now i know how to use mp3 as ringtone.but the msg tone i stil dunno.i convert to the wav format then where do i put it so that it can be put as the sms tone.n another thing is the internet.how do i connect to the internet via my pc either thru the cable or bluetooth?thx for all ur help man...

you cant.. even if you select a ringtone from the storage card and set as ringtone, it will copy to windows folder..

Format the whole thing? Just do a hard reset. Hold Camera+Power buttons and press the soft reset button at the bottom of your mini.

Once you convert you tone into wav, put them into the Mini's windows folder. As for internet, you'll have to configure your mini and PC together to detect each other. The manual teaches you how to do it on page 100. Too many steps for me to explain.

You can use the ringtones which are stored in the STORAGE CARD. 2 ways. One is by downloading the patch which once installed can assign any mp3 as ringtone just by tapping and holding the file then tapping set as ringtone on the pop up menu. The other way is by using the registry editor software and changing the path. I personally wouldn't recommend this as when someone calls you while your Mini is on power save mode, instead of hearing your assigned ringtone, you'll get the "windows default" ringtone. Best is to store you ringtones into storage folder. Then no problems...

just convert to WMA, no quality loss, and less space.

can use NERO wav editor to convert ... even the quality !

hmmm.. julchin_09.. i may be wrong again but i don think you need to hold the camera button for hard reset.. just the power button and soft reset..
