if i sold those 2 stuff would it be enuff to cover the price of the mini? or should i just stick to my 3715 n use the 3g phone? i'm not very fancy about this G3 stuff actually laugh.gif

Reply: If you backup & restore using Sprite Backup, it should be OK. If you use xbackup, not sure about that. One thing, SMS cannot be restore using Sprite Backup, it will corrupt ur SMS communication later. Thx

ok thanx for the tip...coz i think xbackup does not work...or mayb like julchin mentioned the rom has chged therefore cannot restore bcoz system recognises it as a different machine..

No Im not using one. As Im not in KL, there are no hotspots in my area  tongue.gif .
I went looking for a card, but decided against it as I already have a Wi-fi enabled notebook. But a lot of people recommend Spectec.

yeah so do i but it's just to troublesome lugging around a close to 2kg machine just to surf....
coz i do know of some ppl using wifi on their pda together with skype to make calls on it...cool huh.... biggrin.gif

I see your dilemma...

O2 Mini = Good Size and the best in terms of build quality. No Wi-fi(Must buy SD WIFI) and WM2003 still has some bugs. Only 64mb Rom and 64 Mb Ram..WM2003.

O2 XDA IIs = Slower processor than Mini but has more ROM(128). Built in Wi-fi, qwerty keyboard,Thicker and RM1K more expensive.

Motorola A1000 = 3G Pda Phone,Best for Videos,Plastic Built, Relatively new so Bugs unknown, No cam flash, but runs on Symbian and accept only MicroSD..no wi-fi..More Phn than PDA..

iPAQ 6515= GPS...RM2K+. Square screen. Slow processor, same memory as mini,no wi-fi,WM2003,Quadband.

There is also another device Benq P50..same spec as XDA IIs but only 64MB Rom. No 3G. Still running WM2003, Looks a bit like HP6515...
http://biolt.trustpass.alibaba.com/product...t_PC_SKYPE.html

I would suggest waiting till next month when the new O2's arrives at our shores.. tongue.gif

P;S If I stated mistakes...Pls forgive... sweat.gif

1. Another thing after flash my rom no in the phone the number is always displayed as (xxx) xxx-xxxx ex:- (012) 123-4567
is this a bug or is there a setting i can set to revert it to the normal display ie:- 0121234567??
Reply: I think usually is due to regional setting. Just change to English (US) will do

*
if u use the US regional setting phone no sure like that one coz in US the format is like that laaa .... I use the Australia than sure like M'sia one laaa

Hi O2 mini Users and Experts,

I WTA whether it is worst to upgarde my Motorola MPX to second hand O2 mini (with 7 mounts warranty), by adding addition RM500.00. My MPX only have 32mb ram, cant intall additional software. low memory. TQ

The only reason I will change my current O2 Mini is due to the camera quality~ Other than that, I see no reason I should change my mini~

The current Mini camera really sux big time~ Even my ex-K700i is much more better than it~

Last time didn't use the camera much, so not much complain, but now~ Situation has changed~

Well when you say upgrade, its definetly a good thing. Plus you'll have double the mem size and the option of upgrading to a 512/1GB card..... thumbup.gif

Just use Digicam only lar...but I have to say that the SE cams are good....Luckily the hack for the Mini's cam has made the pic quality a lot more bearable for me...

Ex mini and current IIs user. performance, stability almost the same.
Pro for mini small in size, faster performance (install Omega battery Pack + Journal Bar)
Con no wifi and small screen

Con for IIs too big and everything work the same like mini, a bit lag. (install Omega battery pack and Journal Bar)
Pro Bigscreen + Wifi (but battery weak).

Mini New Prices RM 2280.
IIs New Prices RM 3188 free extra Battery.
All official prices.

From the prices different u can buy a PSP for surf .....

If seriously intrested on IIs, can go for my unit. Use less then a month with 99% new condition plus extra leather case, car charger, USB syn cable ......

pic take by IIs
