O2 Mini got EDGE capabilities meh? Or are you using another device?

i remember reading my O2 mini manual and saw it. Let me check again in the manual.

By the way what is EDGE plsssssssss?

its considered 2.5G....slightly slower than the newer 3G offered by Celcom and Maxis. But still fast enought for video streaming and fast internet browsing. No video calls...hehe...

I was worried that 256MB is the highest. How much does 1GB Kingston cost now? Wow! Can support 2GB!? Anybody tried before?

Kingston is more pricy...The 1GB Elite Pro (50x) is about RM270-RM290. Some people are recommending the Transcend (80x) which is about RM230-RM250...
As I said not all PPC supports the new 2GB card. Test B4 purchasing it...

sigh so many replacement models to the mini....we are becoming obsolete dy...

Those newer models aren't perfect either. O2 Mini Pro drawbacks are its bigger size and the fact that it only accepts Mini-SD. Processor is questionable...
I can't really comment about the Atom yet... But I heard its not within the Mini's release price but its touching 3k....

no need to buy high speed SD Card for o2 mini.. i did read an article from Malaysia's phone mag saying that due to the limitation in earlier development in pocket pc, even u use a high speed SD card in PPC, itr wont utilize the speed..so no noticeable speed increse..

But how do i type chinese charactor using Han Yi Ping Ying??

Does it mean Chinese Monster can only read cannot type chinese charactor?

About getting a small notebook..I agree with you on that...Notebook prices are dropping like crazy!!!

If you have MP3 songs why not you make your own ringtones. Just get the free programs at www.download.com and cut your own songs from MP3s and convert them straight to wav. But mind you some programs can only cut 60sec worth of sound but thats sufficient as your ringer will end b4 it reaches 60sec. Im using Power MP3 Cutter.

Keep in mind that wav files are huge and a 30sec wav song can be 5MB in size. Altenatively just cut it and save as mp3, oso can use as ringtones...Only few hundred KBs....

wav files also can choose bit rate, mono/stereo one, so cant say 30sec is 5mb, u can get 60sec around 1mb with reasonable quality.

for me, I think mp3 files have higher quality with the same bit rate, so I use mp3 files for ringtones, but wav files for alarm tones, cos alarm cant choose mp3 files

why use wav as ur ringtone .... ??? I use mp3s and wma as my ringtone ... plus using the Photo contacts as my sub to the default o2 caller id ......
