Seriously people, what's the point of arguing who knows what here? You are a Liverpool fan, I'm a Liverpool fan, everyone (or maybe 99%) in this topic is a Liverpool fan. So for goodness sake, just stick to being supportive to the club instead of being at loggerheads with one another.

To those who know more about the club, just share insights/links/knowledge to those who know less about the club.
To those who know little about the club, just google stuff about the club. It doesn't hurt to read up things that make Liverpool special/unique.
Please respect each other. Just restrain yourself from bashing others in this thread. It's been going on for like 2 days now. I'd rather like to see more posts about what's going on with club rather than what makes you a better fan of the club.
p/s The transfer gossip page on the official website seems to be suggesting Poulsen is close to signing. Is he really that good? Or is RH signing him just for backup purposes?

QUOTE(wolvie2k @ Aug 11 2010, 12:46 AM) If you wish to end the discussion then you shouldn't take sides. Being bias just perpetuates it further. You referring to whom? QUOTE(miketee @ Aug 11 2010, 12:46 AM) Poulsen's a DM so it's probably a replacement for Mascherano, who is due to leave sooner or later. But Inter don't want Masch d wor..since they claim they got not enough cash..Barca need him meh? Barca is too strong in midfield even without Masch..

QUOTE(Burningsunz @ Aug 11 2010, 01:06 AM) Liverpool Ready To Sell Alberto Aquilani - Report The Italian's stay at Anfield may be short-lived...Liverpool are prepared to part ways with midfielder Alberto Aquilani after just one season, according to The Mirror and LaRoma24.it. The Italian arrived at the English Premier League side last summer for a hefty €20 million from Roma, but spent the first half of the season struggling with injury and only showed flashes of his talent in the latter part of the 2009-10 campaign. Due to his injuries and loss of form he lost out on a place in Italy's squad for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. The Reds could sell the 26-year-old for just over half of what they paid for him, in order to gather the funds to make a bid for Belgian starlet Steven Defour. Thus far, Liverpool have managed to hold on to a number of their stars this summer despite not qualifying for the Champions League, although Reds boss Roy Hodgson has admitted that Javier Mascherano is a prime candidate to leave. this is bad...i still think he should be given another season to prove himself..if just by selling him now we will lose alot of money Yeah, he didn't have enough matches to prove his worth. Sure he did have 25 apps but he wasn't fully match fit for most part of last season.

QUOTE(Yuka Yuka @ Aug 12 2010, 08:44 PM) 5m for 30 yr old Poulsen is much more like paying for his experience. maybe RH thinks the club lacks credible senior figures on the pitch btw 20m for carlton cole? is RH trolling? for somebody who does not figure consistently for his country and has never played in the Champions League that's certainly a waste of quids. for Kop's sake use 15m and get Ozil Har?? 20M for Cole? Where did you get that news from? Certainly a big waste of money if it's true.

QUOTE(solstice818 @ Aug 13 2010, 06:45 PM) Realistically, I will be hoping for a lineup like this: Reina
Glenny Carra Agger Aurelio
Kuyt Gerrard Aquilani Jovanovic
Cole
N'Gog
Mine would be the same, except for Aquilani swap with Lucas. My bet's on him to take on Masch's role as DM instead of Stevie/Aqua.

QUOTE(skeleton202 @ Aug 14 2010, 06:37 PM) huh??? done dealed or deal almost done??? Dude, how long you haven't read football news? haha.. Silva's deal to Man City was confirmed a long time ago..1 month in fact. QUOTE On 30 June 2010, Manchester City announced that they had reached an agreement with Valencia over the transfer of Silva and that he would join the club on a four-year deal, prior to the start of the 2010-11 season.[6][7] On 14 July, the Premier League side completed the signing, for approximately £25 million; the player was awarded the #21 shirt SilvaThis post has been edited by 8sg9ft: Aug 14 2010, 06:47 PM

Starting LineupHopefully Masch has a good impact on the team despite all the transfer saga. And I hope Torres gets playing time. Go Reds! YNWA!

Dammit! Haih...Lost the lead to an unfortunate rebound...So unlucky for Reina. I'm pretty sure he wasn't expecting the ball to come back off the post and into his path..Before that he was absolutely superb..The save from Rosicky and Walcott's shots were awesome...Better luck next time Reina..And I hope Masch does stay..He was at his terrier-like best.. Kuyt, Agger, Ngog, Gerrard, Carra played well too IMO. Next up - Trabzonspor.
