my battery drained very fast!!
normal 5 hours can last in windows,
in GC-always-on ubuntu, the battery only last about 2 hours

e-SATA is still not that common and also usb is more universal....

firewire400/firewire800, just like other, another type connector, usually from digi cam/video, faster than usb 2.0 since no need interference from the CPU to control the transfer speed...

usb 3.0 also can plug into 2.0, but it will run in 2.0 speed like how 2.0 device plug into 1.0 and it will run 1.0 speed...

Seriously tempted to buy edi..

but i7 wont improve gaming performance much uh..

You can't convert from USB to firewire, you need to change the casing with the one with firewire....
Even if you do can convert, still the USB will be the bottleneck....
e-sata will have the same speed as if the harddrive is internal....

then i need to look for casing that hv e-sata and firewire ?? but can harddisc support it ??
