QUOTE(moe81 @ Jul 26 2010, 04:29 PM) guys how do i solve pesty snail problem. i'm not sure what type of snail are they. but i noticed about 3 of them in my tank. are they of any good use? will they eat hair algae? if they're just merely pests, how do i get rid of em? You could try no planaria... it will kill planaria and some snails.. it wont harm fish and snail.. the downside is.. it is too expensive... You can find asssasin snails in NA subang jaya.. they got plenty of it. |

QUOTE(booby @ Aug 1 2010, 10:00 PM) shit, nid serious help here. I think the low ph is caused by the aquasoil you used and i think the pH is quite normal also..I dunno why my ph water level keep become acidic (ph around 6). I change my water few times ady still be low 7 like 6 like that. I test the water directly from the tap, seems fine, ph at 7. But after i add the water to the aquarium, become 6 like that. Must be something in my aquarium could be the reason that lower down the ph. Could it be the bacter ball? Or the DIY co2? And suggested method to increase the ph level of my water? The excessive water change is not good for you shrimp and it will drain the mineral and good stuff from you aquasoil too. Try using anti chlorine next time, better use the branded one such as API or nutrifin anti chlorine because they have stress relief and heavy metal remover also. |
