we know that aps-c and FF dof is different...my question is how do we know the aperture on FF to get the similar DOF on aps-c for example f2.8 on aps-c = f??? on ff...

just some random question pops while doing my work...

18-70mm is 18-70mm la.. aduih.. if u mean MFD (google it), then its written there on your lens' distance scale, figure it out yourself instead of expecting to be spoonfed

Different la the DOF between f2.8 on FF on APS-C. That's what hazril is asking. U fellas only talking bout speed being same.

From my own experience it's about 1 stop difference.

bro, the DoF will be the same provided you stand the same distance with your camera (be it FF or apsc) and the subject and background distance remains the same.. another words, everything same, only the camera changes.. = DoF same..

its different when you want to get the SAME angle of view on both cameras... thats where the FF needs to go closer, correct? (trust me, its correct), then thus making the ratio between "the photographer to subject" to "subject to background" becomes bigger (meaning from 2:2, to become 1:2)... that's how the DoF will differ

must divide by 1.5 same like sensor crop..

then APSC has better bokeh?

full frame has better bokeh la.

i think got something wrong with that so called equal..

like we can get F1.8 FF result with just F2.8 in APSC..

of cos la FF, remember the shallower Dof at FF camera..

let say we put 85mm F1.4 at A900, we need a lens (plus minus) 50mm F/0.95 here for apsc lol.. like Leica Noctilux-M lens.. haha
