Yes,get the F58 even for beginner, save the hassle to upgrade in future, not much difference in pricing. Sony flash is soooo much cheaper than other competitors biggrin.gif

guys, quick question, how far is our F42,F56,F58 wireless distance?
*
as far as i know, its limited by how far the light from your pop up goes to be detected by the flash. In brighter conditions, it will be less further.
Exact numbers, i'm not too sure though, i'd give or take 50meters perhaps?

Ok, TT on Thursday @ Ikea foodcourt (where the free drinks are) @ 20:00 hrs.

My (company) number is 016 3363 589. MoO and signither, you guys be sure to come ok. uncle Ian too and bring your new 'family'. Albert, coming? With your E-to-A mount adapter smile.gif

i recently discover this guy name Dustin Diaz on flickr. I'm interested by the simple setup with minimal equipment for his strob photo shoot.
that is why i ask about the distance our wireless flash can travel.
well if it's true that the flash gun can go through 50m+-, i would assume on normal day, wireless flash can be trigger for about 15-10m?

1212345656: The lens can only focus to 38cm close from the sensor plane to object. You need to turn the zoom ring to 70mm.

services189: As long as the flash sensor can see it, it can go on and on. In the dark, without air pollution, it can go faaar!

A 4.9% tariff is levied on all video cameras imported to the EU. Video cameras record up to and over 30 minutes of video at a time apparently. As for shooting beyond the limitations of the battery, Sony offers an AC adapter for the NEX system, which tethers you to less mobile power supplies, but it's better than nothing.

Y u all so obsessed with free gifts when buying camera 1? There's no free lunch 1 ler. All those useless things they give u r heavily added into the price u pay. Just buy the camera n nothing else. Whatever else u want, later only go n buy. They always package very low quality stuff at expensive prices. That's where they make the money.

I even use my NEX at catwalk show. Shot at yesterday's Estee Lauder event. My EOS 1D had the 70-200 f2.8 n was too long for this shot so I quickly whipped out my NEX+Pancake to save the day.

user posted image

Not a very sharp pic, had to PP a bit. I should have pumped the ISO to get a higher shutter speed. Totally forgot about that as I just took the NEX out from pocket, set aperture n just snapped. Came back n saw 1/30 n was horrified. doh.gif Oh well, at least I got the shot. Hehe
