ffxiv gameplay system was heavy influence by ffxi expansion treasure of aht urhgan especially the quest system and notorius monster pop system which is very bad. i love competition especially in camping hnm but ya~ it suck out w when they changed everything back in the day. suprisingly their job system kinda follow games like white knight chronicles. interesting ww.

ex-ffxi players cancel their orders is totally not suprise at all. i count as very hardcore back in the day and was underwhelming by what tester present their ffxiv beta gameplay but this is not all matter to us.

me n my current ls frens only hope the end-game will be as challenging as ffxi or more. seriously ffxi is not really that bad, if you know the strategy, more practice will make perfect.

personally.. i just hope events like dynamis will be back in ffxiv.. that is the only thing i miss w and make some hnm 10x stronger than AV w but not too crazy like PW... w

most important of all, is me and my frens get together again, and that is all matter for now ~ ww n hope the open beta client will work as retail so i can play straight after my fren set up the account w.

i believe is like weapon mastery. Ur weap is accrued through a length of time u use the weap in battle.

Juine i'll join in ur ls during open beta. Ur ls have a forum for application to the ls?
*
i won't be playing much in open beta, so don't really bother about it. most of us are not playing also. just like 10+ people..

as for retail if you're interest, pm me your e-mail address, forum is not up yet. we probably will be using facebook group to gather people first, coz we all still need to level. depends on the leveling and questing process we will pick new officer, vote ls leader and events leader. have to see the situation first.

as for forum, will be up when 75% of the ls are ready for end-game, still to early to make.

yesterday my fren told me, the battle menu is very lag, retainer thing is extreme lag. wow.. that bad? no auto attack? w

everytime he play also shakes head.. but we're still excited and hopefully SE fix it in open beta.

and about the fatigue system think it just a rumour.

"Foreign sites have lots of false rumors. They throw together words and fabricate remarks. Then Japanese sites take this and further [falsify it through] mistranslation. The fatigue point criticism has absolutely nothing to do with the actual [system] and is just full of wild ideas." - Tanaka

this is why... jp always piss at na www for this reason, troll~

personally i felt SE were trying so hard to attract people playing this game, new job system which is fail, still prefer ffxi job system. simple and easy to understand, wasn't that rpg suppose to be? i rather they spend more time making more quest and good storyline for each nation. instead screwing up which is perfected in the past.

more solo frenly, come on w.. wow? w everyone just want to be next the wow. after all what SE doing now... is really totally understand with threat such as xbox360, ps3 and the king of mmo wow. it need to do something new, something to attract the world to play, they can't just survive from japan playerbase. instead of doing so many thing and messed up it's system, sometimes more.. doesn't really mean good. they make this game more easier, just becoz NA people used to complain ffxi was way too hard and now the JP complain for being too easy w.. FFxi was charm.. becoz it is hard, make you feel different. the satisfaction is guarantee when something accomplish.

even me, have pretty much mix up feeling, with so many good games coming.. i don't think i will spend alot of time with ffxiv.. but.. with my past in ffxi i know i'm going to be very hardcore, i always told my fren how scare i'm for playing ffxiv w. me and a few fren were able to xp-ing, earn merit, or camping for 14-18hr straight, sometimes can even play whole day but only happen at weekdays... coz we usually busy at weekends including myself but at nights only. ya i don't have to work.. 1/2 retired w.

and ffxiv felt like, hmmm way too much similar to treasure of ant urhgan, way too pirate life.. ww seriously, we had enuff that on ffxi w. like my fren said, the more he play the more his head shakes for no w..

and like i say.. FFXIV developer are facing something very challenging.. and i felt for them. hopefully they can make it success...

FFXIV totally caught my suprise when they announced the release date for sept 22nd, they just wanna rush out before wow catalysm, and still not a threat ? W

edit: the only only thing i hope.. is they make a good eng-game content, then i'm happy, and i want a imposible to gauge hnm malboro that require two alliance to kill w.

if you can take FFXI away from FFXIV..

SE will not say: "You must join hands...once AGAIN"

by the way, i found a good read here ( http://eorzea.blogspot.com/2010/08/meanwhile-in-beta.html ), this guy is in beta test and he blog his feedbacks.

Square Enix has added a lot of unusual systems, controls and things of much frustration and agony so far. Most people were hopeful that these things would change come official release, that was, until not long ago when some new interviews started surfacing with the FFXIV development team. And let me tell you, they're nothing short of downright frightening.

edit: another issues is the Auction House.. wtf no AH www.. me n my fren were heavily discussing this.. in a msn chat group.. we care for ffxiv gameplay that's why you can see people who played ffxi are in uproar against SE development team..

The next big, major issue is the fact that there is no Auction House on FFXIV. There is what's called the "Market Wards". You "hire" a retainer, meaning you get your own NPC to stand in this large market area with a "bazaar" of your goods for sale within them. The bad thing is that there's no way of knowing who has what and there are honestly hundreds if not thousands of these NPC's and this is just in the BETA. This means trying to find some simple ingredients or a piece of armor can honestly take hours of searching. People begged Square Enix in the masses to please introduce a Auction House.

ofcuz we care for the game play but if you guys keep using ffxi as a base wont you guys playing a "clone" game?
*
hope you enjoy the game www...

and if have time.. do take a read here : http://www.ffxivcore.com/topic/11702-in-summary/ (warning long article) it pretty much sum up what i want to say. w

Added on August 25, 2010, 3:42 pmAfter talking with some friends about this, I'm feeling more frustrated that SE hasn't given solid answers as to why they feel these changes are good for the game. They're obviously doing these changes/implementations for a reason, but their reasons are summed up in vague two sentence answers that aren't helpful. I think that's really what's frustrating to everyone in general. Even a better answer for some aspects of the game: i.e. "We're doing market wards instead of AH to help combat against gold sellers. We feel that market wards will provide a better experience, etc etc etc." (not saying this is in any way correct, just using as an example) Something to help the players understand why their vision is the way it is. I almost feel like I'm the elementary school student with the reason of "because I said so" slapped in my face.

SE stated that the AH would be added but they do not want that to set the economy. And it will not be at release.

user posted image

base on this picture above you can see the AH sign. picture taken from Abriael in ffxivcore

and do you want to go thru something like this in ffxiv ?

my current ls finally have a new name, it will be called Afterlife after discussing with several officer.

can access from http://ffxiv-afterlife.org/ (need few hour to update) or http://afterlife.mmoguildsites.com/ this is basically NA/Asean guild.

we will restructure the ls after a period of time after into the retail, depends on how every members perform. raid times will also decide after we all join into the game, becoz right now everything also no clue.

most of us are still bz with others games and will get better picture when the retail is up. we are all experience players from ffxi and willing to share every skill we learned or learn in ffxiv with everyone. it is important to master your the class you love most.

you will expect to see few of us, will up almost everyhour, becoz when we play, it is endless www.. except weekends but at least 6-8hours that day. for gmt+8 peoples, some of my na frens play at really weird timezone, around 10pm for our time. i'm not really worrying about this atm, things will look better at the time of retail.

if any msian interest to join, just pm me with email~

edit: fixed the url

i used to be over skeptical about 3D gaming, but until one day.. after i test n play GT5 demo on 3D. it totally blown me away. i was at japan that time n seriously 3D gaming is not that bad.

that's why i'm eager to get a 3D LCD tv myself but was kinda waiting for the glassless one.

We are shifting to new internal systems and services that require all of our customers to properly identify their current residence in order to access our new products and services.

One consequence of this is that members residing outside of the supported territory (United States and Canada) will not be able to access their existing North America SQUARE ENIX MEMBERS accounts, including MEMBERS Points, after August 31, 2010, 2 a.m. PDT. New accounts may be available in your proper territory. We apologize for any inconvenience.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Square Enix Accounts are divided into three different regions: (1) Japan, (2) the Americas, and (3) Europe & Other Regions. The FINAL FANTASY XIV packaged software being released on September 22 and September 30 differs according to its region. Please make sure to purchase the software specifically developed for your registered country of residence or we cannot ensure that you will be able to use it.

Square Enix Account services are optimized according to the customer’s country of residence.
Depending on your country of residence, the currencies that can be used to settle service fees will differ.

you guys might wanna double check this. better pick up EU version becoz of the payment.

anyway i'm still getting 2x NA version, coz i have a fren in new york who will set up the account and paid for my monthly fees at ffxiv.

people who picked up NA version plz take notice.. about this.

Added on August 31, 2010, 4:47 pmOmg shoji still sleeping... any1 here staying around cheras which downloaded the FFXIV beta? i wanna COPY!!

im not worry becoz this effect on payment and account management. what SE trying to explain, if you buy what region, register at what region account. if you use NA account, scare your CC cannot use, becoz it fall under NA region, address issues 3D secure issues.

the server is located at japan, it would be dumb to restrict ip and i don't see the need of that.

edit: people who getting NA version, need NA cc to pay.. i might able to help you.. but need to ask my fren first n only 2 person max for monthly fees payment. need to advance at least 6 months. i paid 1 yr fees for my fren.

M1 will be launching its suite of fibre optics internet plans for consumers and businesses. It is also the first to announce 1Gbps plan within Singapore.

Along with the 1Gbps plan, M1 will other internet plans to cater groups of people with different requirements. A total of four plans are available as well as a student plan variation at attractive prices.

These plans cost from S$39 per month for 25Mbps to S$399 per month for 1Gbps. The 100Mbps plan, at $59 per month.

the time i stay in sg, i'm using 100mbps from Starhub, was paying S$120 something but that was 2 years ago, since i move back to my house in jb.. only using 4MB ww.. which is terrible slow w..

i don't really like service from M1, i subscribe their wireless plan and end up using it on my phone.. they don't really offer what they promise. the wireless plan was major letdown ww

edit: singnet was better overall.. i like their MIO
