where to get animal courier ???
and, 1) i want to know, wat item adds up most damage/strength ??
2) strength is more important or damage more important ??
3) wat item will you all get if you have a lot of money ??
sorry, dota noob here and trying to learn dota
For the animal courier, see above post.
1) Add most damage would be divine rapier (+dmg 250) while add most strength would be reaver (+32 str).
2) Ok, for this question, we'll have to start Warcraft III 101.
Iin warcraft 3, there are 3 attributes (or you called it stats, sometimes) to a heroes. These attributes will determine how strong or how good you called it of a hero. These 3 attributes are strength, agility and intelligence. These 3 attributes contribute to a hero hp, mp, speed, attack speed and blah blah blah. Here I enlist them for your perusal,
Strength - Increase 25 HP every point
- Increase HP regen by 0.5 per second for every point
Agility - Increase attack speed by 2% for every point
- Increase armor by 1 for every 3 points
Intelligence - Increase 15 MP for every point
- Increase MP regen by 0.5 per second for every point.
Ok, clear now ?? Getting familiar with all these attributes and what they do is important especially in Dota games because when every heroes have their own weakness and when you try to pump up the hero weakness you have to know which attributes to add up to.
And on top on that, every hero have their own PRIMARY attributes. PRIMARY attribute meaning these heroes have chosen 1 from the 3 above attributes as their primary one. So every time when you add up the primary attribute of that hero, you get extra bonus in your damage by adding max dmg 1 and min dmg 1 (Correct me if I'm wrong). For example, Lina the Slayer, an INT hero, meaning, this woman has choose INT as her primary attributes. So whenever you powerup her INT attributes, not just you get the bonus listed above, but you also entitled to have extra dmg due to INT is her PRIMARY attributes.
How to know the hero's primary attributes, easy, select the hero, look at the middle section of the hero and you will see one golden color square symbol, just on the left hand side of those attributes. The symbol would be either a fist (strength), foot (agility) and a head with the brain highlighted in blue color (intelligence). And as you have guessed, the symbol represent the primary attribute of that hero. Move the mouse over to the symbol and you will have an explanation as above. Understand about it now ??
So, back to question, which is more important. You must know that in Dota is not just a solo killing game, well, as a matter of fact, you can play soloing if you like, but you aint going to get people to team you up if they know you are a total soloer, mind you. Dota is a team game so every player play an important role. The roles are basically divided into PKiller (player killer, high dmg and have abilities to kill a hero easily, some INT heroes and most AGI heroes are in this category like BONE & SLAYER), disabler (the offensive-support character, these player will disable or put the enemy into uselessness state so they are stunned, cannot move and cannot cast magic. Good disabler are LION & SHAMAN), pusher (this hero will mainly to fasten the speed to get rid of those towers by enhancing the creeps and summon more creeps to come forth. Example OMNIKNIGHT, SILENCER & FURION), last but not least, healer (the defensive-support unit, capability to heal and enhance the defense of everyone. example, OMNIKNIGHT & SILENCER)
The above are just the very very basic of it AND dont stuck your mind on "I must play as blah_blah_role if I choose blah_blah_hero". Be creative, there are plenty of heroes that you can choose how to play it. For example, OMNIKNIGHT, this strength hero can play as PKiller, pusher, pure supporter, it all depends on how you gear him and how your playstyle would be. Another example, my favourite, LION, I play him as battle mage, meaning I can solo others despite of his low hp (since INT hero wont be great at HP), and I can be ownage sometimes and my kills wont be worse than thsoe Pkiller. Again, it all comes to your item & ability build and your playstyle. So, did I answer your question ?? If no, then you have play a couple more games and have a feel of it. And watch how others people play will generally help as well.
3) Depends. But will be preferably items that add up dmg, give critical damage, item that give bonus to HP and also items that increase attack speed.
Hopes it helps.
